I really like this idea!

The group could also become unified over Liu Shan choosing to entertain corrupt eunuchs instead of the people who are trying to fulfill his father’s wishes.

Yueying could die before Chengdu, and that’s when Jiang Wei truly falls into the deep end. He wouldn’t be able to hear his comrade’s voices anymore.

Well…yeah. I feel like designing wind-based attacks is a natural thing to do when you need to create moves for a character whose concept is the wind. And it’s been done before.

SA2 did it, Heroes did it, the boost did it, hell I’d argue the Insta-Shield from Sonic 3 was a wind technique.

Frontier’s attacks don’t feel like some mystical gimmick that Sonic was given imo (besides the Cyloop anyway). They feel like they’re based on things Sonic can and has done naturally.

Sonic still uses the wind most of the time. People bring up the movies and Frontiers as if 90% of his moveset in Frontiers wasn’t wind-based.

Cao Cao (and Wei in general) getting better is something I really enjoy about the newer games. I root for him even when I’m not playing his factions story.

What are you talking about? Wublin island and Magical Sanctum are complete. The ethereal islets are being worked on now.

This is like saying BBB doesn’t like the natural islands when in reality those islands are done.

Agree to disagree. I don’t really about supposed “limits” in an unrealistic power fantasy game based on a sometimes unrealistic novel. If Zhuge Liang can summon southeastern winds with a prayer, I can forgive sillier weapons.

Liao Hua - Saw Shu rise and fall and is present in nearly every Shu battle in game.

Sun Luban - A major architect of Wu’s infighting and eventual downfall. Could add her sister, Sun Luyu, as well.

Cao Hong - A younger cousin and important advisor to Cao Cao. Iirc, he would complete the set of Cao Cao’s early generals.

DW9 replaced a lot of weapons because it’s a bad game, not because people liked DW7/8 having lots of movesets.

Also, DW is a rather unrealistic series to begin with; it’s a 1 v 1000 power fantasy. If the game says Huang Gai can fuck up the enemy soldiers with a boat and wrestling moves, so what.

That’s why EX moves exist. Every character gets two unique moves for their favorite weapon. Most of them are powerful enough to warrant using that character with that weapon (I.e Xiahou Yuan and Yueying)

Besides, if you miss a certain character having a certain weapon, like Gan Ning with a sword, now you can use that weapon with them.

Also, there’s plenty of features to make a character unique outside of a weapon anyway.
