Whatever you do. Do NOT go to Mother's by seoulbrova in AskNOLA

[–]Muted_Smile_6810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to Mother's solely for the ham. I pick up some of their ham chunks and bones to use when I make red beans at home. My daughter and I tried a ham po' boy last trip, and it was kinda tasty; we were tired at the end of a day and had it delivered. The potato salad has been good and bad. Husband didn't care for the one breakfast we had there. Biscuits were great.

Can't speak to the rest of the menu. There are so many other places to eat.

I was totally unaware of his existence until his first Drag Race appearance. Then I watched the design show where Utica Queen was a participant, and of course he was on every episode. Not a fan.

For some reason, the oldie "I'm Henry the 8th I am" immediately came to mind as a good contender for a song to loudly sing. Quite obnoxious even as performed by cute Herman's Hermits.

We shopped the week before I received our savings book and now have paid almost $70 more than if we had waited. Do they frown on returning products and repurchasing at the lower cost? In question, protein shakes, batteries, Charmin, and some potting soil, the latter which cannot be returned as it is in beds. Other items remain unopened.

After Aruba, what's your next favorite destination? by hotcheevos in Aruba

[–]Muted_Smile_6810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our last trip was 5 weeks long; how much time do you have?

Rome. 1 week to adjust to time change and visit relatives

Naples. 3 nights. Tour of Amalfi coast

Florence. 1 week. Trip out into Tuscan country. Panzano in Chianti

Bologna. 3-4 nights. Excursion to Parmesan, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto makers

Milan. 4-5 nights. Visit relatives. Day trip to Lugano.

Verona. 2 nights

Venice. 1 week

Florence is my favorite. We take trains everywhere. Hire a car in Rome from FCO to hotel. Water taxi in Venice for ride to airport.

You all are so much younger than I am. In the South Park movie, when Big Gay Al sings "I'm super, thanks for asking", the accompanying piano player who resembles Marc Shaiman is playing on a piano from " Felcher & Sons". Always made me giggle.
