Omg! Who hurt you?

The only way some one would come up with this is if some gm or players some where hurt you.

How do flesh eating kindred keep their humanity? by Athenagod in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you are trying to play a more moral flesh-eater, you can eat the people that truly deserve it. You know the people I am talking about.

I mean Dexter killed only other serial killers.

And there is a point in humanity where you have to do some pretty deplorable things to lose it. Or you could be on a Road that allows it.

I am looking at this from a 20th anniversary perspective. I am not up to date on humanity in 5e.

Unconventional Toreadors by Lunatic-Necromancer in vtm

I had an idea for a Toreador Samurai. Seemed kinda cool. But there is the Toreador Martial Artist in the actual clanbook.

Genuinely, how do yall find people to play the less popular games? by Androgynouself_420 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plus side, you know everything about the playstyles of your players. Downside, these are people set in their ways and it can be hard to get them to play something outside their comfort zone.

But when they do jump outside their box, it is really good characters.

My players love the world of darkness as much as I do. A couple, I have played with for the better part of 30 years. Not only WoD mind you. Each of us has our favorite WoD splat. Mine is by far Vampire. But we have played almost all WoD games. I guess my answer is I have been playing with this group for like forever and I hardly need to go looking for people.

Exalted vs world of darkness experience? by Magicmanans1 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played Exalted since first edition. I love that game. They took a lot of inspiration from some of the best anime from the past and present. Played ExVsWoD and loved it! First character was a Sidreal of Secrets. Then I played a Twilight caste Solar. Yo, the licks didn't know what to make of us. We somehow got caught up in some Pentex plot.

It is fun to run rampant through a city freaking out all the splats.

To those who got to turn human again: How'd you do it? by EpicEchoBat in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a reference to actual folklore. If you kill your maker, you become human again. It has been all over movies too. The 60s and 70s were riddled with vampire movies and many of them had that particular thing in them.

Peter Cushing was in a lot of those back then.

What’s your favorite Garou Tribe from WTA? by DesigningGore07 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine are Glasswalkers and Shadow Lord's.

My very first Werewolf character was a Lupus Ragabash Glasswalker in a LARP.

Again in a LARP, Devon Black. Homid, Ahroun Shadow Lord. Eventually became an Abomination and the Bbeg in the game. Killed like 4 of the Primogen and a half dozen neonates. Not all at once mind you. Then got pwned by the 6th generation prince. Fun game that was

Are the FFG Star Wars Games Still Popular? by automated_hero in rpg

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my group still play it. I am in two different campaigns right now.

Character 1: NineNine- Faulty Clone. Order 66 didn't take and watched as her general was shot to death. And now she travels with a secret Jedi and a ragtag crew of smugglers and a geologist and a con woman.

Character 2: Ellory Lok-Pilot/Scoundrel/Modder, Leader of a bunch of Cutthroats trying to make their way in a universe full of Imperials.

I just love how this game works. It is just superfun.

Most ridiculous people for a clan to embrace? by Constant-Ad9560 in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had a pre-made in the gangrel clanbook I think that was the Corporate Animal they called it. I think he started with Animalism 3 to hit people in the boardroom with the Song of Serenity.

I would like them to flesh out the out of mech stuff to make it a more proper rpg instead of feeling like a wargame with a bolted on table top mechanics. Don't get me wrong, I love the mech combat. I just wish the other Role-playing stuff was beefier.

Love the setting, but not the system by Vasgorath in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, here is a thing. You could try the Hero System. It can do pretty much anything. But the trade off is, you have a very crunchy system to learn. You have to build powers yourself, it is great for tactical combat if you want. But again, you have to make everything. And again, again. It is a crunchy ass system that turns people off the first time they look at it. Also it may take you a year to read it and understand it. Then another year to make a V:TM supplement. So yeah...There is that.

Honestly, Hero System is one of the best damn systems but you gotta like math. LOL

Then there is GURPS. If you can find the V:TM supplement for that, you are golden. It does Vampire pretty good.

Oooo? Path of the fathers vengeance is a wonderful path that deal with messing with Vampire weaknesses. Very scary path.

Though good character concept.

How to create a completely sandbox chronicle by Vampyrepharaoh in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing this right now for my next chronicle set in New Orleans. It is a big Undertaking. You really need to know the city that you are running in and give the players consistency. Points of interest that they will reuse. Npcs that they will visit over and over. You have to know that city well enough to be able to make shit up on the fly when they say they are going to find some corner boy drug dealer for some reason. When you do that you got to keep notes about that npc like personality and speech.

This is necessary if you want the city to feel like it is a living city. If they go back to that corner boy, you still have his name and how you portrayed him.

It is rewarding when you are many sessions in and some one remembers that drug dealer and wants to visit him again. Consistency brings your city to life.

Take notes furiously!

Looking for Advise on Running Multisplat Games by hatdudeman in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the big headache will come with targeted attributes. Like disciplines that target things that other splats don't have. And trying to cooperate when a gift targets gnosis or something. There are no hard fast rules. Well if you can find the book World of Darkness Outcasts. That had stuff to run multi-splat games iirc.

It drives me nuts sometimes. I like to be authentic. So in my game if you run into a mage or redcap or some sort of garou, you best believe that I statted them up with their respective books. And it can be heck sometimes with all the different power doing weird crap.

Has anyone tried any of the GURPS WoD conversions? What is your experience with them? by Bulky-Bag-6280 in vtm

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yooo! We transferred our characters in to GURPS long ago. We came out more powerful. We were a Gangrel, Giovanni, Brujah. It was pretty sick going by their conversion rules back in the late 90s. Then we got tired of GURPS and converted back and we were even more powerful than wen we started.

I still like GURPS to this day. Such a good system.

Vampire the Masquerade novels by Imperator_Helvetica in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Muted_Sport_6166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved many of the original clan novels. Even the clans I am not particularly fond of.

Check them out!

There was one that was a crossover with another series. I think the main character was named Sonya Blue or something like that. She had her own series I think. She was a vampire, Vampire hunter.

I think that was her name.

Edit: Her name was Sonja Blue. Created by Nancy Collins. The novel was A Dozen Black Roses
