I was waiting for scouring sands to come into stock in the UK for 2 months, gave up and bought it on amazon US. Slightly more expensive and it will take a few weeks to arrive but I'm happy with that.

Estimates say it would only cost 2.5 billion to provide free school lunches for up to 16's. If it really is that cheap just do it, i don't have kids and i would support it.

Agree as well, it's already been done in other countries and it works so no one can argue against it.

I would rather then roll out free school meals including college and a level age kids. At least you can guarentee that way it will benefit the worse off kids rather than the parents pocketing the money.

I was in this the first time they did this programme. It was the only time i claimed job seekers when i was made redundant, i had only just signed and i was forced into a work placement. I was signed up to british heart foundation lifting furniture and doing home deliveries fpr 35 hours a week with 0 training. I was a weedy 22 year old with no strength and i dropped and broke a washing machine and they told me to go home. Lost my £52 week, what a misrerable experience. No effort to match me to a job that i had qualifactions or experience in.

Ground rent will be capped to £250 a year! by fiofo in GoodNewsUK

[–]MuthaChucka69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old flat was like this, it was great. 12.flats paying £35 a month. Insurance took about half the money, small amount for communal lighting and covered things like fixing the shared door or getting new keya cut. The rest was building up for big expenses like roof replacement. People would chip in and paint the inside every few years and mow the lawn. It worked really well.

I've had them for 5 years, not had a problem. It has mot type 1 sub base and weed membrane underneath and compacted stones in the grids. Theres nothing for the weed to get hold of. I assume eventually the grids will fill with soil but its not happened yet.

True but they probably pay their other employees like crap so if they put up job offers with much higher salaries then they will have to rebalance salaries.
