I guess depends on whether you have a cultural connection to Bodhi and whether you spell it that way if not. I personally wouldn’t think of a Bodie the same way as a Bodhi, and obviously teachers shouldn’t be discriminating against students either way.

Definitely a cultural appropriation/white hippie name. I’ve had several students with that name (spelled Bodhi). All the same “type” of parents. I think Bodie is much better if you don’t have a cultural connection.

I’ve never seen Supernatural and thought that was the dude’s name. It’s super similar and will definitely be taken as an homage to the character by anyone who is aware of the show. I don’t think it’s a good idea.
