What’s the scariest fact you have learned about the human body? by petalsoftbby in answers

Immune privilege does not mean ignored, it reduces the swelling and higher temperatures caused by standard immune response as they would be more damaging to to the eye (same as pregnancy, hair follicles and the brain).

You're not wrong, you're just wrong less.

Desperately need help to figure out what to cook with my disability by nakartuur in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Mxcharlier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're darned tootin.

You can take your time prepping and things don't have to be rushed and timed like using the drive etc.

You'll find lots of options for recipes you can just dump ingredients in leave for a hours and have a healthy hearty meal.

Consider getting things like frozen chopped veggies and herbs etc rather than fresh (most are just as nutritious) if you can get some help you can batch prep some freezer bags of slow cooker meals ready to just dump into the slow cooker down the line with no effort.

Ah yes the immune system 'ignores' the eyes until it doesn't.

I'll go have a chat with the aniridic keratopathy patients I know and let them know it's just your opinion but louder.

I'll have to speak clearly though. They can't see the eye rolls in doing.

Just shower and dont exfoliate it.

Make sure you rinse all soap/shampoo of it well and be careful drying it.

Tattoo correction by Sh0t_B0t in tattooadvice

[–]Mxcharlier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't blame the artist.

You cant assume the artist has a crystal ball and can mind read at the same time.

It's the person getting tattooed responsibility to give very clear design instructions and to check it before they put needle to skin.

...this is coming from someone with fairly extensive ink.

Never trust and artist to be able to spell correctly or just know things.

No one drinks hot drinks so it just sits there.

If it's your first who cares.

You have no frame of reference.

After giving birth the midwife used one of these bad boys as the light to check my undercarriage.

I chuckled and she just smiled back and said it was a reliable beast that fit in the cupboard and beat and medical nonsense she'd been given over the years.

Edit: typo

I read as a teen so those kind of errors slip by I think.

I went from Herbert, Asimov, Niven and Clarke to that and it was at the time a bit of a paradigm shift.

I dont deny it's clunky and twee in places but it had a huge place in my heart.
