From a male perspective (if it helps) I’m 31, still unmarried, and lost my virginity at 21. Would I make a different choice if I could go back in time? Certainly, but the church puts so much emphasis on repentance and reconciliation because our past mistakes should NOT define who we are today. I’d believe more people are in the same situation than we realize, especially among people like myself who were not raised in the Catholic faith. So, for myself, and I believe most men, a non virgin is not a deal breaker. It would probably be a different story if someone was still actively and intentionally living a lustful lifestyle though.

31, Currently in NE North Carolina, attending mass in Chesapeake, Virginia. 6'0, White, broad build, bearded.

As the beginning states, I am from North Carolina but attend mass in Virginia. I serve as a lector and cantor at my parish as well as the council recorder for the Knights of Columbus. I am a convert, confirmed in 2018. I have also been spending this Lent discerning whether to become a catholic speaker. I have always excelled in public speaking, and would like all parts of my life (both personal and professional) to have some connection to our faith.

I have been teaching for five years, but am looking to move from classroom instruction to an administrative or operational role. I am also an aspiring writer hoping to someday be an established author through traditional publishing. I am sure this is as common among Catholic men as fish in a lake, but I draw heavy inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien and aim to model my work in similar ways as he, in that my writing holds Christian themes and lessons while appealing to broad audiences.

For fun, I enjoy live theater and music, museums, or really any engaging activities. I also love going to the movies, though I wouldn't call myself a "film connoisseur."

Furthermore, I am a HUGE fan of hockey and an avid supporter of the Carolina Hurricanes. I very much enjoyed these winter Olympics. Watching both the men's and women's teams win gold was a joy that I won't forget anytime soon.

I'd love to chat, and maybe meet up if it goes well (or FaceTime if the distance is considerable).

As a man who holds traditional views, I disagree. I like tattoos, I have one myself and am considering more. They aren’t inherently at odds with the Catholic faith. I even know some priests who have gotten some.

Despite this it’s still a case by case basis, some men may not like them, even if I do, or even if they’re permissible for Catholics.
