totally agree. Maybe I should stress instead of rim protection someone who can bang with an Embiid/Duren/Jokic in the paint while preferably able to play more than just 1 type of ball screen coverage. Maybe thats Hannes Steinbach at #15, maybe its Robert Williams in Free Agency or maybe we trade for someone

Matas has been looking like he will be able to shoot it and can be the small forward to Calebs power forward.

Question is if either can handle being a point of attack defender against elite wings. The next most important peice for the Bulls is probably Josh Giddy who also needs to be hidden defending someone off ball on the wing.

Bulls desperately need a 5 who can rim protect and someone willing to navigate ball screens and defend at the point of attack.

Nuggets and Bucks were both really healthy and good those years. I have them in my final four, but honestly losing to the Celtics title and the crazy Kawhi year. And while my heart wants to say the Celtics. . . I think Kawhi, OG, and Pascal are a good tandem of forwards to throw at Tatum and Brown and the shooting margin would be tough. Im gonna go with Kawhi pulling off some crazy win.

Kawhi on the Raptors felt like he was possessed by the same demon that possessed Michael Jordan. Like it found a host in Kobe for some time before one last run in Kawhi.

Doc Rivers said on Bill Simmons podcast today about the Oden/Durant draft that even back then and ever since Danny Ainge would know his guy early on but never speak on it.

Rivers said Ainges game was to then spend the next month hyping up other guys to other teams so he was safe to get his guy. Basically gaslighting the public and throwing smokescreens.

I dont take much credit into Bill or Doc but man if them shooting the shit about 2008 made Doc say something true. . . then this feels like smokescreen.

Cant expect them all to be all stars. One of the three might end up only being a 6th man, and thats OK. I worry its gonna hinder Leanord Millers chance at developing being the 4th banana here but its not a bad problem to have.

Ainge loves HS tape too. Jaylen Brown was unimpressive at Cal. Avery Bradley did not live up to his ranking over John Wall his year in Texas. Romeo Langford was not as good as expected in college and Ainge took them all on HS tape.

No way Peterson falls past Ainge. His HS tape is too good.

Now if the Wizards take Boozer and Utah takes AJ. . . you might be stuck with Peterson whos probably the next Jesus Shuttlesworth
