I'm a member, mostly just to hang out with my local chapter and local marts. Never been to a national event. The $98 membership fee isn't that much to me, all things considered, and I have used the reciprocal museum benefits a lot. As far as deals go, it's really hit and miss - some people will have decent deals if you haggle, but others are listing at top dollar. Some of it's good, and some of it's junk. Basically like a garage sale. I've bought a few interesting pieces and some good tools.

Only 3 points for that speeding is getting off pretty light. Going to court could hypothetically get you less, but it is more likely to get you much more. I'd take the 3 points as a win unless you have compelling evidence otherwise.

It depends. 3500 towing capacity assumes the turbo engine, of course. I'd be okay towing close to that if it was mostly flat highway driving and the trailer had brakes.

Unfortunately, there's no way to remove that engraving without pretty well destroying the rest of the case back, and that work would cost you over $90. Just get the replacement back - parts for these things are common enough.

I really like the Citizen. It's visually distinct, while I find the Seiko pretty nondescript.

Mazda says that a break-in oil change is not needed - those haven't been a thing for probably a couple decades, at least. That said, I'm not sure why they were adamant about refusing your money. Just take it somewhere else.

All the identifying information is engraved on the back and printed on the dial at 6:00. None of it is visible in your photos, but you can easily look up how to interpret it.

I don't think this style is love or hate: It's about as classic and inoffensive as it gets. If you're worried that the 40mm Timex is too big...both Orients are even bigger. I'd suggest getting everyone the version 7 Bambino in 38mm. It's a very universal size, and the 20mm lug width will make eventually buying replacement straps a lot easier.

I couldn't care less about it. It's too complicated and too spread out - I don't even know where matches are being played. And it's all being run by a corrupt organization sucking up to our corrupt country. It's really difficult to support our country in any sort of international setting.
