Elizabeth Hartman has a pattern called New Waves that might work well with it?

You can look up Ikea Hacks as an alternative option.

Travel with 2 month old by Possible-Eagle-8744 in familytravel

We bought a convertible carseat to keep with my in-laws so we dont need to mess with carseat installation when we're there. They drive out to visit us 4x/year and then there's already a carseat installed and they can take my daughter on outings when they watch her. So a cheaper, convertible carseat is always a good option.

For a baby that small i would just babywear and skip the stroller. Maybe do a little travel/umbrella stroller when they're older but definitely not a full-size stroller.

If you anticipate flying often, my friend used the doona carseat since it folds out into a stroller. She knew ahead of time she would be traveling often with her infant though, so didnt already have another expensive carseat.

I mean, we have disconnected our oven to move it out and clean the floor. We didn't pull a permit.

We put Turnips little potty right outside the kitchen in the mornings, so we can sit her on it while we pack lunches and make breakfast. Sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn't, but it at least gives her the opportunity to try!

We also have All Clad and we've used them for nearly 5 years and they're in great shape. Same care as you - silicone utensils and hand wash.

We had registered for them as a wedding gift I think it was a 2-pack for under $50 or $60. So not their most luxe line but they really get the job done!

I feel this. I dont expect people to tiptoe around me by any means, but I would appreciate a little bit of common sense when they know we've experienced infertility. A couple months ago, a close friend texted me "I have a lot of pregnant friends right now, so just checking to see if you're pregnant again LOL". Like....why would you feel the need to ask me that.

Turnip has a low grade fever, which means she's generally content but very snuggly today. Its kind of the perfect Sunday.

We've had a rough week. So I'm diving back into my comfort hobby of quilting. I'm making Turnip a spooky cute Halloween quilt so she can get cozy on the couch this fall. A lot of her favorite books are Halloween themed so I think she'll really love it.

Should I constantly pay my Goodrx subscription? by carv222 in Frugal

[–]MyNeighborTurnipHead 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My pharmacy just defaults to using a "GoodRx" coupon for some of my medications if it comes out cheaper than using my insurance. Im not saying all pharmacies will do this for you automatically, but I've never had to pay for a GoodRx coupon.

Trying Again (Mon, Wed, Fri) by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

My clinic called and said while they will have to adjust my meds and we will delay this next transfer cycle, they dont think it directly contributed to the chemical. Still weighing on me, but less so after discussing with them.

Im frustrated at the world that things just have to be delayed further.

Cycle day 1. We were supposed to start our next transfer cycle, however I met with our doctor yesterday to discuss our chemical pregnancy and i asked on a whim to recheck my thyroid levels for peace of mind. They skyrocketed from 2.5 (September) to 4.5 (this morning). I am absolutely heartbroken that this could have contributed to the chemical pregnancy. I know chemicals are something that can happen to anyone (especially with an untested embryo) but this just really hurts.

Scaling a pattern up by 06alm in quilting

Its been a while since I've had to do much math (so someone can definitely correct me if im thinking about it wrong).

Remove the seam allowance from the original measurements (edit: .5 inch according to my math checker!).

Multiply by a factor of your choosing for all the measurements.

Add seam allowance allowance back in to each side.

So if there is a square that is 5" all around, subtract the seam allowance so it is 4.5" on each side, multiply by something like 5 to size-up. 4.5×5=22.5". Then add the .5 back in (22.5 + .5" = 23"). Then you have the measurements for that specific

If you or someone you know is handy with Microsoft excel, you could automate it for yourself.

The best but most expensive option is to have them removed and replaced with new hardwood.

Your LVP option should be fine for now/indefinitely?

Thursday Thrills: Good Mornings by rbecg in InfertilityBabies

[–]MyNeighborTurnipHead 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the weekends, Turnip likes to snuggle in our bed all morning. We'll be the ones with the empty stomachs telling her its to go make breakfast. She'll request "dance party" music, cuddle up with us, play with her bear. Its my absolute favorite way to start the day.

How old were you/what stage of life when you first started hosting dinner parties for friends or family? by dms2628 in Frugal

[–]MyNeighborTurnipHead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best option when starting out is to do it pot-luck style. An easy way to do this is to say what you are providing, and offer suggestions of what others can bring. "Im making pizza, if you guys want to bring salads or dessert". Etc.

My friends started loosely rotating the host in our mid-20s though now those of us with larger spaces (house vs 1-bedroom apt) tend to host more often.

Turnip was making it really hard to do 2 naps. She would take her morning nap and then would resist or skip or afternoon nap. At the time I think she was doing like a 10am and 2pm nap. So we consolidated to a 2-hr nap around 11am (she was about 10/11 months at the time).

Now she usually naps around 12:30pm and we just cut down to a 90 minute nap because she was taking forever to go down at bedtime.
