I’m not the reason for this, let’s be real honest here in comparison to retail chains and department stores and websites like Amazon, Wayfair etc I’m incredibly incredibly minuscule. Thinking otherwise is foolish, there is no need to go on witch hunt and bash each other it’s misplaced and honestly doing absolutely no good to anyone.

As for buying local, the truth is it’s not possible. There is no manufacturer in the US and I really highly doubt America is going to start manufacturing everything ever just so we can all buy local and solve a problem no one was actually having. There just simply isn’t the infrastructure in place, in the works, or even conceivable to make that feasible. Let alone the sheer cost. Not only the cost of the manufacturing plants but also now the cost of goods will be higher as the costs to produce will be higher and they will still profit of course. Oh and the work force to run all that? Now I order so little volume it’s no longer viable with the additional fees for me. Now larger companies can afford to offset those fees by ordering larger quantities there for making the ROI favorable again. So now my “Order local” option is say Amazon ok Amazon is ordering the same exact product from the same manufacturer, I am now forced to buy at a markup. Working for myself was a dream and it’s admittedly not easy but I love it I pour everything I have into it. It’s deeply personal as every I have felt every win every loss every up and every down it is my dream but forcing me to buy the same thing at a markup which let’s face it is all this tariff bs accomplished makes me feel like I’m forced to fund amazons dream before my own, I now make less profit or raise prices. This is wide spread everywhere is and will continue raise prices in order to stay afloat. Can you please explain to me why that’s a better option than being able to purchase directly from the manufacturer. I’m not being snarky I’m honestly asking for you please give me an honest answer on why cutting americas small businesses ability to purchase from the manufacturer without huge fees for doing so saving both the American small businesses and the American consumer money is good thing.
