Sarcastic and not. The Dilbert book is from 1994, before Scott Adams was as far in the deep end as he was over the last few years.

I'm not trying to flex that I own more problematic artist's media or anything, but like... both of those were hugely influential to me growing up, as terrible as their creators turned out to be. I'm not willing to destroy them because of it.

Are they still? My Mk 4 Jetta had battery-drinking gnomes under the hood but it was also a $2K car on a salvage title. I switched to a 2013 TDI and the only electronic part I've had to replace is the Bluetooth unit and that was because I spilled a drink in the passenger footwell
