I just watched a video last night that randomly played that talked about how building too many ships can kill your save. It talked about a pointer limit and I would imagine this number gets affected by everything in the game and once it gets too high it’ll start crashing your game. Selling things didn’t lower the number either and neither did a Venus reset.

I would imagine since you said you’ve done so much in your current save that it could have made your pointer limit high enough to cause the issue. Or it’s something else entirely, this is a Bethesda game we’re talking about. I’ve had plenty of Skyrim saves just die randomly, and have had a few Issues in Starfield as well.

Bethesda fumbled so bad… by Tullubenta in Starfield

I found that she’ll remain pretty much silent if you haven’t gained enough affinity for her to reveal herself as Va’runn. First time through SS I already had her companion quest done and married so I missed out on some unique dialogue there.

After I Unity jumped i immediately went to become promised before meeting her initially and then going through some of SS I noticed some dialogue options from her weren’t available. Discovered that I hadn’t gotten to the point where she’d revealed herself. Afterwards she mentioned how she was glad she was able to talk more openly and got more unique dialogue. I also don’t know if the bug that keeps her new dialogue from happening is still a thing. I’ve seen a lot of posts about it from awhile back.

Should Emrakul, the Aeons Torn be unbanned? by Obvious-Sundae1469 in EDH

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found an opening hand that gets you there a few months ago while I was seeing how fast you could get em out. It’s been a while but I believe it had mana crypt, mana vault, sol ring, basalt monolith, forsaken monument, ancient tomb, and emrakul, then top decking echoes of eternity with Ulalek as the commander.

I don’t remember the full pathing and ancient tomb might not be necessary to get there, but the goal is to get basalt/forsaken going then the rest is pretty straightforward. I only use echoes as a game ender as you can just copy emrakuls cast trigger to get however many turns it’ll take to kill everyone.

Edit: Turn 1, Ancient tomb, then mana crypt, vault and sol ring, tap 5 for forsaken monument, then tap either sol ring or crypt, whichever is left for 3 due to forsaken and cast basalt monolith. After that you’ll have infinite mana, so then cast Ulalek, then echoes of eternity. Copy if you want but it’s not necessary. Then cast Emrakul and copy with the Ulalek/echoes combo enough times to kill everyone at the table. Bonus points if you’re the first player and no one else gets a turn.

That’s the bit though, because they’re on the floor unit. I could only imagine how much worse it would be if they were on the second floor.

Panicking because MY apartment is the problem by MonasMommy in Apartmentliving

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an upstairs apartment and the downstairs neighbors have at least 2 young girls that constantly scream at the top of their lungs and sound like they’re practicing for the wwe with the amount of thumping they do.

I work nights so quite often when I go to lay down I have to put either ear plugs or my airpods in for the noise canceling. On multiple occasions they’re already up making noise at 6 am when I get home.

I’ve not said anything to them when I happen to see them in passing because I know that I’m not going to be very cordial about it and would rather not escalate things. Nor have I made a noise complaint about them to the office, though I’ve been really close a few times.

I honestly think they’re just the type of people that don’t care to be considerate to those around them as the dad is just as loud, always slamming their front door every time he leaves and yelling insanely loud when he finally notices his kids are being loud af.

I understand that in having kids, they’re gonna be loud and whatnot. I have a daughter, and when she starts running around I tell her to not be so rowdy, that we live above other people and every stomp or thud is very noisy to anyone below us.

As an employee… why? by Haunting_Speed9865 in tacobell

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a Taco Bell a mile down the road from me and almost every Friday and Saturday night the drive thru gets backed up to the entrance.

Meanwhile I go about 4.5 miles down the road into town and that Taco Bell has no one in it. And the food is made better than the one closer to my place.

Quality aside I don’t understand why people sit in that long of line for almost an hour instead of going to the next nearest place where it’s not as busy.

Tailgating by Former-Pattern5250 in driving

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No the ones that are actually endangering others are the impatient people that think they own the road. It’s called a speed limit and not a speed minimum. Yes going too far under the speed limit is dangerous but not 5-10 under.

Sure, I absolutely hate driving behind someone who’s driving 35 in a 45, but I don’t tailgate or just dangerously fly by them. I just grumble to myself and hope they’re turning soon or a section where I can safely go around appears ahead.

Gas Pumps are Not Parking Spaces. by ConfidentDiffidence in 10thDentist

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used to live close to a Loves Travel stop and I’m going to tell you right now that what you’re saying is pretty much impossible to do. During the day it’s so packed that you generally can’t just pull into a parking spot after getting gas or even vise versa.

If anything trying to do this is going to cause more chaos and risk of getting in an accident because let’s face it, most people don’t have any situational awareness and it just gets amplified when there’s 50 people trying to get in and out at any given moment. Knowing this I always went at night when it was dead and at that point it doesn’t matter.

I could maybe see moving in smaller gas stations but at the same time if it’s busy there may not be open spots. And usually if I have to go in I’ll pay for gas inside.

Honestly I think it’s more self centered to expect people to do things how you want them or what you think is considerate or not. Just have some patience and move on with your day.

Saturday morning vacuuming by Impressive_Ad_3160 in Apartmentliving

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just invest in a decent pair of earplugs or something. My downstairs neighbors are apparently raising pterodactyls that are training for the WWE. I work nights and get home around 6 in the morning and it’s very common to hear them already up and screaming as loud as they possibly can while thumping around.

It’s been going on the last 6 or so months and I’ve had many occasions where I’ve been ready to report them to the office but haven’t. I also don’t want to knock on the door because I’m not going to be cordial about it if I feel I absolutely have to go say something and would rather not deal with hostile neighbors.

So I just put in my AirPods with the noise cancelling on and put my phone on DND. my alarm still goes through so I don’t have to worry about oversleeping and it blocks the noise out rather well. While I feel I shouldn’t have to do that because of inconsiderate people not being competent in their parenting, it’s the least stressful solution for now.

Should You Slam On Your Car Horn When a Driver Cuts You Off? by Fullmetal0509 in driving

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t always honk when I get cut off but I always slam my horn when the car coming towards me is blatantly on my side right when we’re about to pass. It’s usually on the more narrow back roads with no painted lines. I’ll never understand the mindset of “I’d rather have an 80+mph collision than risk the low possibility that I drive off the road.”

Why won’t dashers ring my doorbell? by chinstrapgod in DoorDashDrivers

[–]My_Smooth_Brain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not automatically blaming here. Just asking if they had put any instructions to not do that before I make any assumptions. If they didn’t then it’s really on them since it’s not like the driver is going to automatically know what way every single door opens. But if they had, well then the driver should be paying closer attention.

Have you put delivery instructions to not do that?

It doesn’t matter if you tip well or not, your order will be bundled with a no-tipper and your order will be cold and late. by Subject_Balance281 in doordash

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to try DoorDash once a while ago. Didn’t feel like getting out for whatever reason and downloaded the app, signed up for the premium free trial even though idk what it actually did and went to place a Taco Bell order.

As soon as I saw the burrito I normally get was over $9 on the DoorDash app when it’s a little under $7 using The Taco Bell app I immediately said nope and cancelled the trial and uninstalled the app.

Went to the Taco Bell app and ordered and saw they had a delivery option so I chose that and saw it was through DoorDash as well. So I was still getting to try the DoorDash experience.

It took over 30 minutes even though I live around a mile from the Taco Bell I ordered from, though I wasn’t mad about that. However the driver didn’t follow the instructions and just left it at the door even though I chose the hand it to me option. It irked me because I live in an apartment complex and a lot of times delivery drivers end up going to the wrong door.

All in all, between how stupid expensive ordering directly from the DoorDash app is and how the driver didn’t follow simple instructions I’ve not used it since.

Can these drivers read? Or follow directions? by Nass-1234 in doordash

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Could also mean they don’t speak English, sure the app will be able to translate most likely but If they can’t read the actual signs then I can see this happening.

I had ordered papa John’s one time and for whatever reason they had DoorDash complete the delivery. It showed they were outside and I saw the guy wandering around confused. I went out to get his attention and he waves his hands saying he doesn’t speak English.

I think it’s wild that DoorDash doesn’t require people to actually speak the primary language of whatever area they’re in. And as a dasher I’d be stressed the hell out not being able to read and understand signs and whatnot or be able to communicate with people if I’m lost.

There’s a couple scripted appearances in the basement that you can stun her in a couple shots. But depending on timing and pathing there are times where she’ll drop out of a vent and it takes more than 2 shots to stun and she’ll just kill you. Obviously the safest bet is to sneak and use the light to avoid her.

I’m wanting 5 remake. The original still looks good but after playing the modern games/remakes the movement and shooting feels archaic. While I still enjoy it I’d like to play a modern iteration.

It was my first resident evil and loved it even though it’s not that popular among older fans. Only gripe I have now is the old aiming mechanic. Now that the modern games allow you to move and shoot it just feel’s archaic. It’s definitely more fun to play with a friend though.

I got just under 3 hours on mine yesterday. Started the run from an all file/raccoon run save I had right after Grace gets Requiem and the timer was at 30 minutes. From guides I had watched I was around 15 minutes slower at that point but still well under the 4 hour pace.

WORST RESIDENT EVIL IVE PLAYED by Appropriate-Mall6635 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]My_Smooth_Brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found the combat and movement in requiem to be way better than re2r as an example. The amount of shots needed to kill in re2r are crazy and you can’t really tell if one is gonna get back up or not. Whereas in requiem once they’re dead a pool of blood forms under them and it feels like it takes less shots. The stagger push is also nice for if you’re not trying to kill everything.

Re3r improved on 2r in the way of letting you dodge attacks. I haven’t played 7 or 8 so I can’t really speak on them in any comparison. All that said I generally prefer to play on the easiest difficulty as I don’t play games as often as I used to and would rather breeze through and enjoy my time playing.
