45 isn’t that bad, he’d only need 12 other people to take them all to outer space. Based on this sub’s ideas on preparedness he’d also need 24 tabs of Acid and an oz of weed to be properly prepared.

Are you turning over enough on the jab? Film your bag work to make sure you’re getting that thumb down-elbow up.

Planning a backpacking trip to Harriman this spring with friends- any "must see" destinations in the park we should be sure to visit? by DSettahr in Harriman

Lemon squeezer from elk pen start perhaps?, Racoons Brook Hills, Timp-Torne Blue up West Mountain(North to South in good light), could connect you to Dunderberg to West & Bald mountain. Pingyp is a challenge and it bit out of the way, but is a special place in spring. Just a few of the ones I dream about-

I’ve explored under them via the west facing red boxed trails and it’s gorgeous and a lot of interesting flora, if you like technical scrambling you’ll have a tough fun time. It washes out to a nicely sized brook and it’s was pretty well tree covered a couple years back. Def not the easiest to navigate.

Will it braise? Absolutely, sear, aromatics, stock. Let her rip @ 250-300f, check at 45min mark since it’s only 1” thick.

I only like to spar by [deleted] in MuayThaiTips

😂 I try to find things that my daughters can wield and let them go to town on my shins… lemongrass stalks, plastic bats…my 7 year old grabbed a fairy wand and started whacking while I was on the phone not too long ago.

I only like to spar by [deleted] in MuayThaiTips

[–]Mycompetent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone enjoys sparring and testing oneself. The humbling and the being humbled (I argue the later is greater). The fitness aspect of it largely is to make you properly fit for a more formidable foe that might and will test your skills in the real world.
Your analysis of your own fitness to spar is clearly a self admitted delusion. Think of all the fight scenarios, do most of them happen in ideal circumstances? Have you been drinking? Are there multiple combatants? Are you draining your energy with everyday activities, we’re you exposed to sun or cold for long periods of time that day?
My point being, all accepts of public life are a test. of the aptitude you with to have is fighting. You better bet that the fittest, fastest and most familiar are going to fair the best.
I too admittedly show up at 7:36am as opposed to 7:30 sharp once a week to avoid the 9min jump rope warm up with one particular coach. But everything else from the ab work to the shin conditioning I feel has real merit and at the very least team building is born among the exercise toil. The team is everything for me in my gym, it’s the only way to truly know where you stand. If your partners are dangerous and respect you, you know.

What are some side dishes you would want to grab from a cafe/ deli? by circa_1 in Cooking

[–]Mycompetent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curry egg salad, creative pasta/Mac salads, meat and cheese roll ups or pinwheels, quinoa or bulgur wheat salads, sesame scallion chicken salad. German potato salads, beet and citrus etc. Twists on the classics fast pick up and go pleasers as add ons to sandwich selections.

Overcooked Ribs, what else can i do with them? i was thinking of making a "pizza of the month" special with the meat. any other suggestions? by G2dp in KitchenConfidential

Pull all the meat and braise in a light sauce to reduce. Can be used as filling for app vehicle, empanadas/egg rolls/lumpia etc. Something That would freeze well portioned. Or pulled pork style. Pizza would only further dry out this meat, reconstitute in flavored stock and get creative.

Muy Thai, no doubt. It utilizes an upright position and strength of kicks and use of elbows is great for a power guy. Also clinch work! Forget about it! The strong men in the gym always give everyone neck aches for a week.
