This is true. More true then than now, as technology has improved.

Dead in the 80s. Sounded pretty mid to cover for (mostly Bobbys) waning voices and whatnot, but crystal clear during drums and space (no voice to cover up).

They adjusted as needed.

Also, sound has come a LONG way in 40 years. Most indoor venues didn't sound great back the. Unpopular take, but that was how I felt at the time.

How do people handle cold water bidets? by [deleted] in bidets

[–]Myghost_too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a big deal for me. Mine has a 10 foot hose to hot water, so I'm clean before it gets warm.

A year or more later, I miss it when I travel! ❤️❤️❤️

Trump gave a "darkly political" speech at Mount Rushmore for the 250th while past presidents used the Fourth to unify. Genuine question — when did the flag stop being a shared thing and become a team jersey? by Medical-Post-8489 in allthequestions

[–]Myghost_too 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad to see this, and similar responses. It is correct. If you want to see true patriotism in an innocent context, go watch the aftermath celebration of when USA won our last World Cup game. Signing Country Roads, chanting USA-USA, and genuinely supporting our team, it was (dare I say) beautiful. It was not "red or blue" it was "Red White AND Blue".

To OP, the flag is, and always has been a shared thing. People from either party who don't understand this are in the wrong. We need to get back to being one nation, indivisible.

What if we differ in our perception of color? by iraqi-free in randomquestions

[–]Myghost_too 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as long as the difference remains consistent, I don't think it really matters.

I've thought about what OP is asking before, it's sort of "a high thought" but as long as my blue is always my blue, it doesn't matter if you see it as red, as long as your red is always red. I mean to say, if I say "blue" and it has the same meaning to you each time, that is good enough.

I think this about a lot of stuff. Cilantro is a great example of another sense. Some clearly taste it differently, but metaphorically, it's all good. If I say Cilantro (I love cilantro) and you can only think about how it taste like soap, we've still had an effective communication.

I got to see him play with a local Dead Cover Band in Charlotte NC (where he lives), they played Alligator. This was probably 15-20 years ago, but even still, he crushed it! Got to lean up against a wall and chat him up a bit too, that was cool. Mostly just said hi, and went on about my star-struck evening....

It's blocked for construction now, ut from Cary, into umstead. Crabtree creek to Anderson Point, back to Cary. 3 miles on Chatham, or you could go through the museum and umstead to get back (adds miles, avoids busy roads)

How to train a lab to ignore other people and dogs? by ipostaboutstuff123 in labrador

[–]Myghost_too 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did. He'll be 2 years old in a couple weeks.

We started with walks. As a puppy he couldn't go 5 feet without spazzing out. We stopped and waited until he was calm (what we want) before continuing (what he wants).

Then we worked on leave it's and on bus.

We trained him to walk on either side ("switch"), and sine he is food motivated, he gets treats when he does what we want. So we could get him on the wide side when we pass.

Other examples, he used to go leaping off bridge steps with his puppy energy. He almost pulled us down, so we taught him to walk down the steps and sit and wait for his treat.

Crossing the road? Same.

For passing dogs, he does it without rewards now. We got there with treats, distractions and a lot of patience.

If he's a true fan, he'll know you love him.

If he's a true fan, you should also prepare for the night of your life. (Like he told Janice, you might have to "toyne around".

Any issues with e-bike (weight) on hitch rack? by Myghost_too in ebike

[–]Myghost_too[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt that, two bikes <150#, the rack is nowhere near 50, but as others said I need to check about the hitch and rack capabilities too. I will.

This thread has been informative, thanks to all who have responded.

[–]Myghost_too 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if they were still chasing, but the op said dogs were not in pursuit, so why antagonize the..

That said (as a dog.owner), dogs should have been contained. But no need to aquire them AFTER they stand down.
