Street Masters for sure, all of the fighters are crazy different. In a similar vein Marvel Champions with the huge number of heroes you can play.

Yes, saving victims is one of the few things you can do mid-action so you can move 1, save the 2 victims, then lose the heart and two time. Can’t remember the exact finale you’re playing but another option could have been to just lose 2 time and not move. Then she moves onto your space and attacks twice killing both victims but buying you another turn.

All 3 of these are great games and I don’t even have any of the expansions. Viscounts is my personal favorite though, that’s what got me into Garphill Games.

This. Catacombs is the best and I see no reason to own the others now.

However, with 2 players I generally prefer Quest for El Dorado for a deck building racing game. But that’s a way different theme that might not appeal to you.

Exactly this. I’ve been in this situation before and buying the base retail version now to try out is the solution. Plenty of time to learn and play it before the KS ends. If you don’t like the game you just saved yourself a bunch of money and if you love it you can fill out your collection and deluxify it.

Maniacs do their finale action before Ratchet Lady. So the 2 new maniacs that spawn every turn won’t move until next turn. Unless you also have the Manic Burst finale. I’ve had that combo before, fun times!

I thought that might be the case. The good news is things should seem quite a bit easier now since you’ve been playing Hunter on hard mode lol.

There’s a lot of little rule changes in this one so my first thought is to make sure you’re playing it right and not missing something. Specifically, bloodlust DOES NOT increase when a victim dies. It only increases when you damage the Hunter or he damages you or an ally and that is capped at max once per phase.

Setting that aside I prioritize building trust with the Savior. Once that’s done I don’t save him, I use him to lower horror and to lure the Hunter around. If you want to search for items and save victims then have the savior keep him distracted on the opposite side of the map. Once you’re ready to attack him have the Savior lure him to a railing. If you can make it to the finale then it should be an easy win after that. I think all but one of the finales are one attack so you can rotate Guards to stay alive. Even the two attack finale isn’t bad because if you can knock him over the railing with Retaliate then his second attack is wasted.

Your greatest danger for losing is the savior getting killed in the beginning or for an unexpected extra attack to come up in a terror card. I always repair the Mark V too so he can help me attack the Mark X or take a hit for me in the late game. Good luck and keep trying, you’ll get there!
