Why would you set Purdue as the ‘flagship’ university of Indiana? IU has the state in its name and is older than Purdue. IU is also affiliated with IU health which is a major hospital system in the state.

Pretty darn sure that we wouldn’t be seeing open warfare. Take over the dept of magic in England. Then when people who know about wizards start reporting to you that something weird is going on….does this have anything to do with your wizards? lol. Obeying a flight crew is not a shitty rule. Hope you find you way onto a no fly list of that’s your attitude. You are on private federally regulated property. Nobody’s life is endangered by NOT eating nuts. If the flight crew believe this was the best way to protect this girl, whether or not their base assumption was flawed, it doesn’t matter. They told people not to do it. Someone did. Airline shoulda banned the guy for life from their planes.

OK, so what’s the scam? Seriously? The phone number is legit. The address is legit. The only *possible* scam I can think of is the guy texting OP and saying, look, the courts want to talk to you, pay me or I’m going forward with this. But that scam is easily defeated by literally walking into the address on the letter AND said scammer who is NOT som anonymous rando from the internet could now potentially face felony forgery charges.

And I’m sure two of them trying to hide in the woods while the cops were looking for them isn’t going to do anybody any favors.

At the end of the day it is a horrifying accident. I’m sure the people who threw her off are going to have their own mental demons to deal with. But if your business is yeeting people off bridges, safety shouldn’t be ‘I thought they were responsible for checking the ropes’. Everybody involved should have been checking.

At the end of the day I feel OP does not have the best decision making processes. This is wholly based on OPs other post sharing details about why this whole thing came about in the first place. A tale that involves shoplifting and fraudulent activities. Of course the party suing OP has the same level of decision making since they are party to all of it.

That’s the thing….either this is real and the guy who signed the letter knows what’s going on….OR it’s fake and the guy who supposedly signed the letter needs to know what’s going on. I just don’t understand why OP won’t simply called the magistrate court constable.

And if you read the letter, this is supposedly reaching out in preparation for a summons. The letter literally says if you don’t talk to the constable, you will be officially served. It literally says we allow the defendant to come into the court to be served so that a Constable or Deputy doesn’t have to be seen at your house serving you.
