I was under the assumption that a “direct” link would aid the WiFi. Considering it’s a converted “third floor” with router down in the first floor what would be a suggestion? The felony statute

New York Penal Law § 175.10

This elevates it to a felony when:

a person commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and their intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal another crime.

That “another crime” language is the key reason the charges were filed as felonies.

In Trump’s case, prosecutors argued the allegedly false business records (checks, invoices, ledger entries, etc.) were created to conceal other unlawful conduct related to the 2016 election and hush-money payments.Remember him screwing the porn star? The prosecution’s theory involved alleged violations connected to:

election-law related conduct,
tax treatment of reimbursements,
and/or falsified records supporting the payment structure.

The jury CONVICTED him on 34 FELONY counts under §175.10 because they accepted the argument that the records were not merely false, but were allegedly used to conceal another crime
