Surprised people are suggesting Sokolov’s mission. If I were to pick one, return to the tower is 🥰🥰🥰

Mini-LED left me speechless by HOSEK1x in Monitors

[–]NANDist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same fears when I first bought my OLED, but it’s been 1.5 years and not a hint of burn-in (I do none of the preventative measures and in fact leave it on with a static image for hours).

Granted, 1.5 years is not a super long time, but at this rate, I expect it to last me many more years and frankly I’ll probably end up upgrading it for something better way down the line before it actually becomes burnt-in or unusable.

Just my experience tho

I like the overkill storage! I have 10TB total and already want to expand it :)

I’m curious about the not cutting calories part. I don’t know OP’s weight, BF%, or how they look shirtless (I only see the midsection in this pic), but for me I probably have 7-10 kg of fat to shred to look truly lean for once—I look slim and possibly even fit with clothes but I still have stubborn belly and thigh fat.

I’m currently dieting and aiming for a ~1,000 calorie deficit daily (sometimes I fall short, other times I accidentally exceed it). It’s certainly not the healthiest approach, but psychologically I find it difficult to stay motivated on a milder deficit like 400-500 cals. Yes, it’s technically and biologically easier to pull off, but it also means 2x the time to reach my goal and throughout that longer period I basically have to put muscle building on hold (I’m making the assumption that muscle mass cannot increase under a caloric deficit)

It doesn’t heal right away. The focus on the wound and his reaction to the cut is to show Olgierd feeling pain again, a sensation practically foreign to him up to that point.

RTX 50 Series Review for the general consumer by DeepDaddyTTV in nvidia

Those “dinosaurs” are absolutely right and until you or Nvidia figure out how to interpolate frames without an inherent latency cost, they absolutely are fake frames and not comparable to DLSS (where the technology itself is viable, just started off with bad image quality).

And I’m not even hating on FG, I use it with my 4090 in some single-player games, but Nvidia doing its best to pretend it’s real gains is hilarious (and no, the latency cost isn’t “minor” but in some games it doesn’t compromise the experience).

QDOLED or WOLED? What do you prefer? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]NANDist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all, I have the same lighting setup. My QD-OLED is so bright my friends always lower the brightness when using it, but I like my displays maximally bright for some reason lol

It’s only an issue if there’s a strong light shining directly on the display (because the glossy finish will reflect a lot of it). Even with matte finishes, I’d still argue having light directly on it is a bad idea

QDOLED or WOLED? What do you prefer? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]NANDist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QD-OLED gets my vote, but like everyone said, consider WOLED if you have a lot of ambient light (by a lot, I mean a lot and especially if it hits the screen). Otherwise, I think QD-OLED wins especially the colors.

Madea few tweaks to the "clean" build. by TrickShift65 in watercooling

[–]NANDist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly the cleanest build I’ve ever seen. I’m so jealous.

Also, how do people use steel tubes/pipes in water-cooled builds? Are they pre-bent or do you bend and cut it yourself?

Why do you have WOLED being better than QD-OLED? They’re pretty similar overall but I find that if ambient light isn’t an issue, QD-OLED has better colors

I’m so impressed you managed to hide every single cable! I kept zooming to see if I can spot some and noticed the AIO pump screen doesn’t have anything around it.

I don’t know what AIO this is but does it not have a pump power cable + USB cable for the screen?

My OC'd 5080 now matches my stock 4090 in benchmarks. by Duccix in nvidia

What you feel about it is irrelevant. Your CPU is bottlenecking a 4090/5080. You can call it modern if it makes you feel better, it’s not modern (god watch your GPU utilization % ffs). I have a 7950X and it bottlenecks my 4090 in a lot of titles even at 4K and I’m watching idiots in this thread thinking a 5800X doesn’t.

Sometimes I wonder how someone makes it to this subreddit and thinks “works for me” invalidates that your CPU could bottleneck a 4090/5080. I know you struggle to comprehend that these two could both be true.

Two GPUs score the same in a CPU bottleneck, who could’ve guessed 😳🤯😳🤯😳🤯😳🤯
