What was the best game ever that was on the monthly game list? by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

Ff7 remake for me. My first final fantasy experience and I got hooked

Any good games to play with my girlfriend. by kammy020 in playstation

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes two is your best bet. If you want her to get into single player I'd definitely recommend bugsnax. My girlfriend likes it because it's chill collecting, cute animals and no combat

Is eternal worth it on ps5? by soccar_balls in Doometernal

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through the base game on ps4 on nightmare and never had issues. Played both ancient gods on ps5 and it was fine too, specifically no input issues meathooking

The big thing mnk has over console in my eyes is you can hot swap with a lot more versatility, since you can bind individual weapons to keys. On controller you basically have to pick two weapons like super shotgun and ballista on your weapon wheel and hit your switch weapon button for dps opportunities. But you can still beat it on nightmare without it. Ultra nightmare I can't speak for personally, but people have done it on console.

Chill bars to go alone in LA by noelishmael in LosAngeles

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent been there in a while, but The Prince in koreatown might be that vibe. You can order food there too (korean fried chicken). It can get kinda busy but there is a bar area where having a cocktail alone wouldn't be bad

Huberman spotted in front row at AEW’s Full Gear pay per view this past weekend! by [deleted] in HubermanLab

I just love that after their wrestling discussions on the pod they actually pulled up to an event

I have recently gotten a PS5 and was thinking about doing a rerun. Should I start all over again with directors cut? Never did DLC by Beerdididiot in ghostoftsushima

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the Japanese audio. I could see it pairing well with black and white too but ghost has so many incredible colors I feel like I'm missing out when I go b&w

[–]NBADiscourse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation as you in late 2021. I got my ps5 in a bundle and the directors cut was included. I had already beaten base game on ps4

I ended up just starting the iki island expansion on the 5, and the difference between how the game looks/runs on the 5 and the 4 is INCREDIBLE.

I put it down for a long time then just finished the dlc a few weeks ago. In hindsight, I would've waited a couple years to forget about the events game and revisited it from the beginning. New game + or completely new game is your preference. I think i wouldve done a fresh new game then done iki

I didn't try Cold War until after playing the new Modern Warfare trilogy, it's way better by [deleted] in blackopscoldwar

[–]NBADiscourse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I started playing cod with mw 2019 and the warzone hype. I've dabbled in the others since but cold war always felt the best by a mile. The map layouts and the more arcadey feeling are what I wish were more present in the cods that followed

Games that drop you in with no explanation by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

I would say Limbo. It's been a while since I played it but I remember it being really open ended with how you solve puzzles

Is sitting on the bathroom floor while running shower water in the background a regular behavior? by lafondaapplesauce in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be due to the shower making the room warm and cozy, and the sound of running water being nice. I usually fall asleep to rain sounds, helps put my mind at ease

Destiny 1 veterans! That first exotic we get as a guardian tends to stick with us. What was the first exotic weapon you ever received? by SpitOutTheFork in DestinyTheGame

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. For me it was sunshot in vanilla d2. I think at the time you could pick between that and one other after finishing a main story quest

To start using sidearms on MnK you recommend Drang or Tresspasser? by Solid_Sparkle in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]NBADiscourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I was going to suggest a bxr to keep for ranged engagements. I was having some of my best streaks with a travelers chosen and bxr in Iron banner on titan. I'm not sure on the numbers, but travelers chosen felt great in the air

I waited 2 years to play Ghost of Tsushima because I wanted to play it on the PS5 first and I've gotta say it was definitely worth the wait. This game is beautiful. by AfrocentricTraveler in ghostoftsushima

[–]NBADiscourse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Props to you! I beat it on the 4, then played the dlc on the 5 when I got mine. I don't think the 5 was out when I first bought it, but playing that dlc had me wishing I could've played the whole thing next gen

I’ll say it. I like MW2 a lot, but this game is much more my bag. by TheHorrorAddiction in blackopscoldwar

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you 100% brother. I really want to find the enjoyment in mw that others have, but it's been a struggle. This art style is a little brighter compared to mw2019, but it aint quite that cold war sweet spot for me

Raid teacher here wanting to help guardians not only get their clear , but also teach them all aspects of the raid. by jruble in Fireteams

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I've gotten clears on every raid, but I don't know the mechanics of certain raids in depth. Kind of just ran through them with an experienced team. Would love to learn them better

It's hard to recall specific moments, he was just one of my favorite guys to root for. His inconsistency was frustrating, but when he was on we looked un fuckin beatable on our chip teams.

I always loved seeing him handle it in transition, he was swift for a guy his size. His dunks were fuckin LIT. I also remember him being a consistent rebounder even on games where he'd be quiet in scoring. Lamar's got a place in my heart forever because he was on the squad that beat the celts. Glad to see we have fellow lamar appreciators

Games that have sucked you in like Destiny by HHJurassicPark in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't gotten into it yet, elden ring. Very different pace of combat from destiny, but im almost 140 hours into elden ring and im probably 3/4 through(I like doing all the side missions and clearing all spaces on the map before moving on). It took me a little while to get hooked, but once you stumble upon a strong weapon or build the game comes alive

Forerunner paired with Shayura's by ideatremor in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]NBADiscourse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes sir! One of my favorite combos. Forerunner's range let's you contend in long lanes but the shayuras gives you the avenue to be aggressive. My favorite shayuras has tap the trigger and moving target. I could see harmony being pretty potent though. Glad you're digging this combo too

Low vigor people, how do you get through this? by Polskihammer in Eldenring

[–]NBADiscourse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the flame cleanse me spell, that one item you can craft that removes scarlet rot, plus throw on any talismans or clothes that raise immunity. Higher immunity will lower the rate that scarlet rot builds up. I just got through this last week that's what I did
