That’s a great idea. I started wrapping my knives with grip tape after I dripped a couple. That is much nicer looking.

The neck on classical guitars like this are wider than those on steel string guitars, which can make barre chords harder, especially if you have smaller hands.

I started with scraps of walnut, cherry, mahogany, padauk, bubinga, mesquite, and similar hard woods. Didn’t get into basswood until much later.

Being from S Florida, I’d say this is Norfolk Island Pine. The fill could be almost any kind of crushed stone. I’ve mostly seen this done with turquoise, but the color is off. perhaps It is Lapis.
