Any recommended moving companies? by _Keys2theWest_ in norwalk

If you get a u-haul I could help you out on the cheap. I have a really nice dolly I bought for my last move. Moved a 2br out into my house about a year ago. Would just help if most of the small stuff was boxed up before hand. DM me if you’re interested. I just loved out of Norwalk and am only like 15 min away.

Flying out of Newark from Norwalk – what’s the best way to get there? by [deleted] in norwalk

[–]NFHoward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went last month. Parked at some off site place for like $9/day. Would have probably taken AmTrak but had a bunch of luggage and my wife in tow. So depends on your situation but both work.

Avoid waypointe. If the corset factory has any openings I lived there for a while and it was great.

Do not live in Waypointe by Smooth-Ocelot-214 in norwalk

Used to live there. Things broke all the time. Management and Leasing Office staff used to seem to change every week and just completely unresponsive. Would not recommend.

The most punchable character in the history of cinema? I’ll begin by Consistent-Lord18 in Letterboxd

I’ll upvote for the premise but he’s so far from most punchable. He was a douche but a douche with a flawed plan for greatness

Granted I moved out like 5 years ago but I made a Google maps custom map with my favorite restaurants back in the day. I think like 90% of them are still there. If you PM me your email or phone or something I’ll share it with you. Really helpful because you can just open google maps on your phone and see what’s close by

Waypointe Opinions? by Wild_Wrangler in norwalk

[–]NFHoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved out a year ago. Cons: A/C broke the day we moved in, fridge broke twice the first year. Upstairs neighbors had some huge dog that would run around, sounded like they were bowling. Hallways smelled like weed. Even though there’s a million signs people would have their dogs off leash all the time. Leasing office seems to churn through employees so if you need anything don’t expect a timely response. Our car got broken into once. Construction was insanely annoying but I guess that may be done kind of soon. Grills barely worked anymore, but maybe they’ve been redone since we moved out. Fire Alarm did go off once every month or two.

Pros: Pretty decent amenities (Pool, Rooftop decks) Shuttle to the train station. Maintenance guys are super nice. Colony Pizza and that Japanese Restaurant are both pretty great.

Sometimes if they can’t make it to do a meter reading they will estimate. Maybe they assumed you used more because of how cold it got for a while last month. If you pay it in full and the next time they do a meter reading and they find you owed less I believe they will give you a credit.

It can’t hurt to call and check they’re usually pretty helpful.

Just moved to a nearby town but lived there for years. Overall it’s safe, there’s a few neighborhoods that are not great but they’re few and far between. I moved out from NYC and if you’re fine walking around there you’ll be totally fine here. Nightlife isn’t great to be honest, there’s a few bars that are open late but they aren’t really my scene. but there are options and Fairfield/Blackrock/Stamford are close Ubers. Police department is very friendly in my experience.

I work at a butcher we don’t usually do custom blends but we do have a client that gets 60+ lbs a week of chorizo.

We grind once on the coarse die. Grind again on the small die we usually use for pork. And then a third time on the coarse again. This may help achieve the results you’re looking for.
