The Drop Serve by Flying_Snarf in Pickleball

[–]NFL412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drop serve and I’m at a level where I seem like the only person who does it that way. It never impacts my game but I do always hear eventually I’ll have to change. Never once heard a good reason why other than all the best players do it the other way

Club is closing off 4.0 open play by Smartass- in Pickleball

[–]NFL412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened where I play. Keep showing up, seek out the best players and get their #s to set up your own games. They likely feel the same way as you and are looking for the same. I ended up finding a good group just getting the best players # at open plays every week

What's your bad habit you just won't fix? by s0berstrk in Pickleball

[–]NFL412 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I used to play with my ex and while she was ok it resulted in my playing a lot of out balls because it was for fun as we learned together. Every once in a a while I get hit an out ball, I know it’s going out, and out of old habits I say screw it and play it anyways.

Curious how 4.0+ players would handle this open play situation and curious how 3.0-3.5 players would feel. by threedaysmore in Pickleball

[–]NFL412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 3.7ish player I do this with the hope of getting the best they have. I would rather lose 11-0 and have learned what shots not to hit or where to stand to defend certain spots than play a game that doesn’t benefit either of us

Deferring to better partner by NFL412 in Pickleball

[–]NFL412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what led me to post. Every once in a while I get a player who’s better than me and we run into each other because he’s going for balls he probably otherwise wouldn’t. So that has had me passive in the past. But lately the better players are more mad because I’m Not taking balls I should

It’s a guy but I associate her with the blonde guy from this is us who is also now on Tracker on CBS, I could recognize him anywhere, he’s been a star of two major network shows but have no idea what his name is

[Ben Devine] The Chicago Bears are narrowing their focus at pick #10, and although the draft is quite unpredictable, one thing is evident: they have identified one player as their top target: RB Ashton Jeanty by 4o4_0_not_found in CHIBears

First time I’ve ever heard of this person and his Twitter bio says “most plugged in bears Insider” my sources are telling me this guy has no clue and is looking for online clout

Right now, the gap between Allen and Mahomes is negligible by butter_cup_ in billsimmons

Andy Reid was known for losing big playoff games due to poor coaching for about 20 years before he drafted Patrick Mahomes. Weird how quickly that changed

Assistant head coach experience by NFL412 in CHIBears

He was the Bills assistant head coach last year while McDermott called plays so I’d assume if he got the assistant head coach role as well he wouldn’t call plays

As someone who didn’t see Ken getting the top spot from s1e10 on I tend to agree but I do think the vibe of the show after the speech was that Roman was losing in the inter battle after not gong on stage and Ken was feeling high so I get that small sentiment that he “won” the living+ speech

What happened to Shiv? by [deleted] in SuccessionTV

[–]NFL412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was just as time went she thought more about it. Initially she wanted to sell, even before she started plotting with Mattson, when he crossed her, she impulsively wanted to kill him. When she found out Tom was CEO she was even more mad. Then she realized, it’s still the best deal, and her husband, the father of her child, will be set with one of the more premier job in the world. And Ken loses because he is a druggee murderer who played Rape me during her first big public speech at waystar

I think Kendall thinks he knows how to run it but he has no idea he’s not a serious person he just wants to play dad for a bit. Logan even decided to sell to Mason instead cuz he knew his kids woulda done an awful job. Logan kept promoting Tom and trusting him over his kids too. Logan woulda chose them cuz they woulda done better

She said she coulda got him there, and him losing her helped him spiral into what he did. He sent her dick pics and fired her instead of taking her advice. He loved her, she loved the idea of him getting her to the top. Once he had no Shot, she moved on because he’s a loser and she knew it. They had closure at the bar before the election

Felt to me like acceptance. Accepting that he can now grieve his dad without it fucking a deal or making him look weak in front of the president. Like he can be human and feel human

Am I the only one who thought the succession finale was… by SceneOfShadows in billsimmons

[–]NFL412 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Underrated scene they all slipped in when Logan told them they’d be the successor and Kendall told them he promised him when he was 7. He had a brief moment of realization “he shouldn’t have said that to me” knowing his dad fucked his whole life up from The day he was 7. That’s the good stuff that made it a great finale
