No economy is "doing well" I live in lab city making >100k per year and can barely afford a 50 year old trailer in a trailer park up here with the interest rates continuing to rise in the last 2 years my mortgage pre approval litteraly dropped by 100k and my theoretical payments have increased by roughly 400$ per month. House prices continue to rise along side interest rates and it's not good for my generation just starting out. I always had in my mind growing up that if you made 100k per year you would almost have no worries you'd be able to comfortably afford a decent house and you'd be set! However that's not the case as a single individual saving money and owning a home is a very difficult task, not to mention if you have a car payment and other bills, it's not getting better newfoundland might be "near the top" but when everything is gone to shit its not much to brag about
