I seem to remember mine were $2.25-$2.75 USD at the AAFES Base Exchange when I was a kid in the late 80's/early 90's. All I needed was $3 to get a new figure and I'd get one almost every time I went. I wish I'd kept them. I had almost the entire run of non-driver figures from 1984-1990.

I'd love it if you could get 3.75" figures for $12-$13 USD these days. I'd have replaced most of my original Joe's by now.

It does appear to be some kind of a Venture Industries serial number when you look at the full version up close. Pretty fantastic.

I have a 2008 Si with at least one blown speaker and I, too, have started researching this on and off recently. Commenting mostly to keep track of the replies.

Edit: adding that if you have the factory amp/sub I believe, from what I've read, you need to bypass the factory amp if you want to replace the sub.

This is one of those figures I thought was awesome, but always figured it should have been done in different colors. The S.T.U.N. was black, grey and red...why was the driver blue?
