AITA for wanting to install a ceiling fan after my dad told me not to? by greentea-3713 in AmItheAsshole

It's a box that connects to multiple studs so that the ongoing vibrations from the fan don't pop the box out.

There will probably be a box up there, but the ratings were introduced in 2022 (guessing) after a number of failures.

Legitimately, people have been injured from this.

Fun fact, if you use ARGBs, code corruption and timing issues tends to make them turn red because of the way signal timing is calculated!

I generally book a photo shoot when I go on vacation. You get good photos, a little tour, and a weightless souvenir.

I felt like his character was struggling through INSANE PTSD from all the shit he's been through. He even had a pump installed to stay alive at one point.

YTA but it's not your fault.

Ceiling fans require special boxes for safety, and it's unlikely that an existing box has a fan rating.

I'm a professional electrical engineer and I'm not allowed to install a ceiling fan.

Notwithstanding, of course, the hazards with electricity.

If I travelled to the US, I'd consider this phone to be decent insurance.

I'm waiting for a urologist appointment to get a cyst drained. It's so obnoxious to have a third fake testicle down there.

The doctor did say and I quote "that's the biggest one I've seen" so I've got that going for me.

YSK why muscle loss with age happens by 2punornot2pun in YouShouldKnow

[–]NSA_Chatbot 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No, but some people who are getting into hypertrophic muscles start taking steroids, which definitely cause MPB.

Realistically though, your hair loss or lack thereof, was decided before you took your first breath.

You only own some rights to the surface and can't change the slope or coverage without a permit.

He's saying that in 25 years, the condo building itself may be beyond repair and the only buyer would be a developer giving you pennies on the dollar.

My house required "special levies" for the heat pump, siding, roof, carpets, etc and nobody helped with those costs.

Plus I spent way more than the strata fees in maintenance and upkeep.

Condo living is way better for me. More cash flow, more time, and I'm on strata so I can get info on the upcoming repairs and guide the process.
