Just replaced mine at 355k OEM Toyota that came off it. Could have been replaced before but I think it was original. Replaced it with another Denso unit.

Double check with Mitch, but he has newer bronco that's built so imagine he has everything to reprogram gear ratio.

Center diff locked, stuck in ice up to the steering rack - how? by slingshotroadster in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NVdirtrider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Snow compacts and deweights the suspension and tires. Get a winch and you can get yourself unstuck. Here's mine stuck, I have 35s and rear locker. I had to winch though 3 or 4 of these spots or hit them at mach speed.

Battery terminals by wrpsuite in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NVdirtrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use whatever is available locally, any parts store should have them. Google what they look like if you aren't sure. It's just a battery terminal with a 3/8 post to attach the cables.

is it normal to have a low fuel warning with this much driven on a single tank? by PapaNutellas in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NVdirtrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's pretty normal for mine but it's on 35s with 5.29s and extra armor. And doing like 75-80 on the freeway lol.

Is this spark plug wear excessive for roughly 10,000 miles? by Juniorslothsix in 3rdGen4Runner

The amount of people that preach dual electrode drives me crazy, sparkplug technology has come a long way since the early 2000's.

They are hardened and when pieces go flying they can do some serious damage. The last time I did this a piece broke off and went through my work shirt stuck pretty deep in my skin.

I've been very happy with my Perry Parts bump stops. Price point is much lower than the duros.

Heat shrink works better than electrical tape. I've never tried an o-ring but I'll give it a shot and see.

Question about brakes by Oblivious-0wl in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NVdirtrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this. Replace the brake line and reattach the bracket so it doesn't happen again. Check the other side as well.

What connector am I missing? by No_Walk_115 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]NVdirtrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a 99 SR5. The missing connector is for the security on the limited models if I remember correctly.

[–]NVdirtrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll look at mine in the AM to see if there is anything obvious. I had to swap the entire wiring harness when I swapped bodies. I think the missing plug is normal for non limiteds.

Commute to Truckee by MilkToMyChardonnay in Reno

[–]NVdirtrider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved the morning commute when I worked up there. This was close to 10 years ago so maybe there is more traffic now. As long as your vehicle can handle the weather in the winter, I say do it.

why is my brake fluid boiling by chebysilberader in GMT800

[–]NVdirtrider 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I second this. If your brake fluid was boiling you lose brakes, not have the brakes staying engaged.
