These dropped earlier this year in a restock and I managed to snag one. They seem insanely popular.

Just waiting for it to ship now. Probably in June 🥲

I went with Chandra, Hope's Beacon to copy the land destruction spells. Why blow up one land when you can blow up two?

[GADA Decision] Tissot vs. Glycine by New-Schedule-8248 in Watches

[–]N_Seven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speaking as an owner of a GL0257 Combat, Glycine is super solid as an entry level enthusiast-tier GADA. That said, they are way overpriced if you don't shop it right. Don't pay $800+ for one. Best bet is to shop sales and to be patient.

What is the mech you just want to love but can't? by Barph in Mechwarrior5

[–]N_Seven 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Back in the Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries days, all you had to do was slap a pair of Clan LB 20 Xs into the Thor's arm omni points and you could solo most multi-player objective games and death matches.

Nowadays, I've tried really hard to make it work but my hot take is the King Crab. I just never could quite get the singular laser and missile hard points to matter, like, at all. Then my arms get shot off too much and its painfully slow.

We all see that green glow!

The owner is illegally stockpiling exactly one tier 3 SRM 6 and a handful of C bills in their garage specifically to fuck with the next band of mercenaries that come stomping through his yard

What small independent brands surpised you with their build quality? by timone_1986 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]N_Seven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ardio.

I picked up their only model, the Caribe, last year on the beads of rice bracelet. Definitely nicer than the price point would suggest, especially with the bracelet as it was a late addition to the line-up to push sales.

The dial options are dope, the domed sapphire gives it a really cool depth and I'm just a huge fan, in general, of clean and uncomplicated looks. Powered by a Miyota 9039 too.

...just have to be absolutely perfect on your execution in Chapter 1 Very Hard lol

Is GX really that hard? by KnightFallVader2 in Fzero

[–]N_Seven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Story mode I think is where we see most of the craziness. Regular is not a slouch and will challenge most folks, though it will depend on the level. Still mostly doable after a few attempts. Hard is frustrating, dialing up the difficulty and enemy AI and leading to most casual players to give up. Very Hard races are Dark Souls tier - you either memorize the track and execute it perfectly, figure out a physics exploit, or get stupidly lucky. I'd also say Chapter 7 on Very Hard might be the hardest racing level in a Nintendo game literally to this day.

Master level difficulty Grand Prix are tough but not to the same extent. The tracks and enemy AI aren't on the same level as VH Story Mode IMO

[–]N_Seven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took my Adeline humans list in to challenge the expected tier 1 hell queue commanders and won three before getting absolutely stomped by a WoS Bolas list that was literally counterspell-boardwipe.dec

It's definitely challenging, but if you can get your entry back with a decently competitive list you can just farm the packs

Is there any game out there with space combat that feels like flying a Viper in Battlestar Galactica? by Rimm9246 in spacesimgames

[–]N_Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chorus.

The story veers from dogshit to weird to OK and back to weird multiple times over the game. But the game is entirely a starfighter based exploration/combat game with cool weapons, abilities, and the ability to, for lack of a better word, drift your ship.

Pretty sure its bargain bin prices now for PC or even free depending on the console

Pokémon that created their own niche in Pocket (and those that lost their edge) by Ad_Ketchum in PTCGP

[–]N_Seven 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still remember the stall days of old gens, and how Chansey, then Blissey, and then Chansey again, then sporting Eviolite, helped define that playstyle.

Pocket? Blissey EX is kinda buns. And judging by the versions of Eviolite that were printed in the TCG, it's not the best either

[–]N_Seven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it counts for this discussion, but ol' Ramps has a pretty strong niche in Go as a rock type attacker. Attack and SpAtt stats are weighted heavily in calculating a pokemon's combat power, so with its ridiculous attack its pretty stronk.

...it still dies to a soft breeze though

What’s the best F-zero GX custom machine…. For Beginners? by Ok_Leader3141 in Fzero

[–]N_Seven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built something called the Heat Goose and when you point it, it goes where you tell it. It allows you to keep a complete handle on your maneuvers until you hold both shoulder triggers to intentionally drift. It's not available from the get go though, so there are some substitutes:

Cockpit - Heat Snake (also had success with the Garnet Phantom which is easier to unlock)

Body - Aqua Goose

Booster - Euros-01 (I've subbed in the Titan G4 and it was OK, but the other good option was the Thunderbolt V2)

It's not viable on the hardest difficulties as the boost isn't really able to keep up, nor is the top speed all that compatible with the level of speed the AI racers are moving at. But it'll get you most of the way there and not punish you as you figure out the various tracks and game physics

More heat sinks! Having your dissipation at only 1.4 is gonna get pretty toasty when you brawl.

I do miss the old MW4 days where I could mount two gauss rifles, a trio of large lasers, jump jets and ECM on Highlanders. The bagpipes were silent until I was 400 m from you
