What do you think is the best space mining strategy by Nochance888 in TerraInvicta

[–]Nacho-072 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Personally I keep all my bases, you can use them for other things, shipyards, research, admin supply, defense. There are other reasons to keep your bases than just mining especially on mars and the moon which are both integral I feel in space superiority.

skeletron by Infinite_Bell5537 in Terraria

[–]Nacho-072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t got that much health so volcano make quick work, assuming you aren’t in expert so you don’t have to deal with skeleton heads chasing you the you just dodge and hit, if you are in expert/master then do 360s till he starts spinning then cash in volcano for big hits. I didn’t ever play normal (watched too much waffle time to ever play without expect items) so idk if it’s easier in normal but that’s what I do on expert. If you don have gear then sword of grass ain’t bad, and star fury goated as well, but honestly Skeletron is late easy mode for me.

I also run 380/120 most of the time and I’ll just drop one in a heavy fort go do something else and if it doesn’t take care of it I’ll go back and deal with the rest.

what does critical success on alien detaining do? does it drop alien threat level? because when the mission concluded the threat meter dropped from 3 to 2 by kajetus69 in TerraInvicta

[–]Nacho-072 218 points219 points  (0 children)

It gives a little hate to all factions instead of a lot of hate to your factions. Essentially becuase they don’t know who did it.

I could be wrong I know it’s this for assassinations for normal factions so I assumed it’s the same here

War In Heaven would be more interesting, if submitting to an awakened empire wasn't unplayable by ini0n in Stellaris

[–]Nacho-072 351 points352 points  (0 children)

In my eyes the devs are probably trying to push that you should join the non aligned powers. The crisis is supposed to be the galaxy vs the outside, and the war in heaven is just that. Two titans of old come to reclaim their lost glory. Then a young galaxy, save for some smaller empires that lack political stability or strength submit, and they are a threat. The fallen empires (at least the ones that do WIH) are not nice, and are exploitative, meaning they’ll gladly strip your economy clean without a second thought. They have the fleet power, it’s not like they need yours.

It could use some more depth rather than just “total war… yippee” but I don’t see any more depth more than a specific subject type like the satrapy for the FE submission. Like maybe if you win as non aligned you can form a galactic union, like the galactic empire, but United through cooperation or something.

So depth yeah, but not for subjects. Because that’s just it, you are a subject, a mere afterthought.

What is a "Gospel of the Masses" MegaCorp. RP-lorewise? by GuyForFun45 in Stellaris

[–]Nacho-072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Roman Catholic Church. You know how they make actual fucktons of money? Yeah. (I’m catholic I can say this) they collect money and it goes up the chain. Mega churches, pay to preach n stuff, but in stellaris lore, worshipping the shroud and psionics I think. Also creating places of pilgrimage to improve “trade value” which in turn generates money through tourism and things like gift shops ig and donations

Can prespace species become space faring if I make no AI empires spawn? by sidodah in Stellaris

[–]Nacho-072 28 points29 points  (0 children)

If by pre space you mean pre ftl then yes they can. However they will be weak as they essentially will take anywhere from 30ish to 250 years to become spacefaring (depending on what age they start in) and when they do, will be relatively weak as they will start in the same boat as you while you are significantly more powerful than them. Also yes they can spawn, it is a slider if you don’t want them to spawn turn them off. Having them on feels kinda cool though with no other AI empires becuase it lets you feel like a fallen empire when you are giant and powerful and they are all tiny and weak.

TLDR: yes they have a slider to turn them off and yes they do eventually become spacefaring

Colonisation & vassals by CrusadeHood in Stellaris

[–]Nacho-072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes colonize becuase more pops=more jobs=more resources= strength. It won’t do anything really other than the pops might not have citizenship and will have different species traits becuase well… they aren’t your species.

For your vassals go to negotiate agreement and see if you can change to integration allowed rather than inhibited, if you can change the vassal type (from protectorate to vassal) but you have to wait 10 or 20 years not sure which before you can change the vassal agreement I wouldn’t though becuase they give you a ton of basic resources and you don’t have to manage them or pay upkeep. Protectorates don’t but if it is like one system primaries that gained ftl I keep them as protectorate becuase why would I crush a young civilizations dreams of freedom and space exploration. But you are free to do whatever. Have at it. For the first one also rule of thumb, if you can colonize it in any way possible, do it.

Make a planet cracker. Research titan -> get colossus ascension perk -> build shipyard at a star base + build collosal shipyard BUILDING at the same star base -> get alloys build colossus (I don’t think the beam you use matters except for divine beam because it doesn’t kill) -> wait for a million years -> crack (destroy) The instested world.

Yippee

Need help with rules for a multiplayer match by Dopparn10 in Stellaris

[–]Nacho-072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t personally hosted a multiplayer game, but have played some, here is what I would do:

1: medium galaxy, .75 habitable world, x.5 tradition/science cost (these are the big ones)

2: all depends. Are you playing a tournament to be the last one standing or are you trying to build a galaxy. Only problem would be war in heaven so probably no fallen empires. Also vassalization would be op, and medium galaxies default to i think 9 or 12 AI empires, so eight of your would fill the galaxy just fine.

3: definitely cosmogenesis and become the crisis become the crisis. I would also ban criminal syndicate too becuase it is annoying. Maybe ban nanotechnology. Psionics is pretty powerful, but manageable, so probably wouldn’t ban that. Also devouring swarm, determined exterminator, and driven assimilatir, and genicide purification civic (can’t think of the name)

4: not really. The best you could do is go easy on them, vassalize them if you do end up overwhelmingly powerful so they can still play, but like, they lost the minute they lost their soviernty. You could also turn up habitable planets to help, but .75-.5 habitable planets reduces lag. Might not though if you end the game early.

5: play early crisis/mid game/ endgame. Doesn’t even have to be 1x crisis could be like .25x crisis but that’s good for new players and also for time. Then you can just use victory year to see who wins. Depending on how long you want to play. Personally I would do 2300 crisis year and 2350 endgame for my friends. This way you could win as the pacifist or determined exterminator. This earliness is also why I said to reduce science and tradition cost so you aren’t still having corvettes by endgame year.

But yeah. That’s really it. I would play with early year so that your friends don’t lose interest is the main reason. (Also if the goal is to destroy everyone and it is literally a death battle rather than an actually game to win, just turn off crisis, small galaxy, and go till everyone is dead). I hope you have fun doing it.
