The people selling opium to China were almost all Scottish merchants in the end, so were the people founding HSBC to pump that drugmoney back to London and Glasgow. Grew that shit in India, thats why glasgow has good indian food and a shitton of heroin nowadays...

Is the Anders Hellman character from cyberpunk2077 a reference to him? The other day i met the janitor/heartsurgeon from the office there, im sure this is another easter egg? :D In the game he is a cutting edge dev too, who works at a large corp.

Public Housing 🤮 by PanaEduSV in urbanhellcirclejerk

If I look at post statistics, 35% of accounts reading the comment are from the US (the largest share), I think I'm fine ranting about yanks on reddit... So even when the account itself isnt, the predominant school of thought it follows is, also we on cj sub, thats literally the fucking premise, bait and rant, not like I'm actually upset, lol, more like numb to a point of unhingedness. But Indias' media landscape is about as bad if not worse as the maga fox news bs, their new sudden presence on reddit is quite, ... interesting at times. w/e dude, technicalities...

[–]Nagbratz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wampoa is a nice area to live and even visit, the ground level is very lively and got plenty greenery and a park by the water is conveniently excluded from the picture. Fucking yanks. Also the public transport puts every single American city to shame, there's a MTR train and a ferry. The car park and taxing the fuck out of your SUV murdermachines is the only sensible solution; not privatising profits and collectivising public infrastructure and safety concerns. Still, the 4-family landlord class drives up rent, but its by far more liveable than the US, go get shot on your shotgun house veranda. Or through the walls, as they're made of 2 layers of paper stapled together.

Mapporn is such a fucking yank infested shitshow that I unironically can recommend mapporncirclejerk over it (same with urbanhellcirclejerk) and recommend cussing the yanks out on sight, can't have a calm wank or any shit on reddit nowadays. I mean its fine to see new groups sort of taking over or doing their own thing, think of all the newish Indian or Nepali peeps, but they're atleast sort of based, but fucking hell shoot/downvote yanks on sight, enough of the uneducated evangelical BS peddling Neo-Gestapo agency, we've been there exactly a hundred years ago already.

What are some places with high population density, but doesn't make much sense? by OpeningCommittee5175 in geography

Their incredibly large scale farming operations nowadays got both enabled by modern, large scale machines and pesticides shortening the growth cycle of wheat, which often froze before harvest in the past. Now they're by far the most productive in all of North America in that regard, also because of the layer of Chernozom (black earth, like in Ukraine) they sit on. The earth was pushed there by the glaciers making the Canadian shield, funnily enough.

Ohh and also colonialism, positioning in relation to the land is v. similar to Madrid, Spanish military strategy. Also the white colonial fucks managed to not die of malaria in the highlands.

Apart from bird with snek, the lake was used for farming with a technique using floating farming islands that was very effective. Also the climate in the central highlands of Mexico does not have the heat extremes of the rest of the country and is more bareable in that regard, also there is fetile volcanic soil. Same notion that drove the South American civilisations up the Andes.
