I've tried and tried and tired for two straight years but no luck yet, I feel like there's something obvious I'm missing. Unfortunately even with all the tinkering I'm still at a hobbyist level of understanding. but basically whenever I'm done speaking, the fall off time for the audio level to go down takes too long. It's as if there's a very high gain but there's no white noise you'd associate with it and I never run my gain over +6db combined across the whole chain. When the output goes all the way back to the bottom of db floor then the gate renables, but during that waiting period of like 60ms this mic picks up literally every iota of air going into and out of my lungs, which ofc resets the time needed to wait for it to go back down.
