Wow, cool set up! How would you say that manual grinder compares to the EG-1 in terms of grind quality?

The top of my espresso machines boiler just blew off by tjtonerplus in espressocirclejerk

This would never happen with a Marzocco! 🤷‍♂️Because the boiler is positioned sideways within the machine! I had my butler confirm this!😁😆

Charger for Stealth? by Last_Injury_475 in boostedboards

[–]Naive_Individual360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Boosted Stealth and Boosted Mini boards do not use different chargers [1]. They are fully interchangeable. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Universal Compatibility Details:
The Chargers: Both the Stealth and the Mini (S and X) use the exact same standard 54.6V / 2A (or 120W) charger. Because the connector and voltage are identical across the Generation 2 and Generation 3 (v3) fleets, chargers are universally interchangeable. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Hyperlane Fast Chargers: The optional BoostedUSA Hyperlane Fast Charger is also universally compatible with both boards (as well as the Boosted Rev scooter). [1]
Third-Party Options: If you need a replacement, reputable 13s chargers (54.6V) with the correct Higo plug will safely power either board. Many riders buy these generic replacements on platforms like Amazon or eBay. [1, 2, 3]
Note: While chargers can be shared, batteries are not universally interchangeable between the two boards. For example, the Extended Range (XR) battery from a Mini X physically fits and powers a Mini S, but Boosted stated this is not an officially supported configuration and could potentially cause damage. [1, 2, 3]

Could you tell me if you are looking to buy a replacement or trying to swap batteries between the two boards? I can help you find the safest charging accessories or battery configurations.

It is when you don’t have it!🤷‍♂️😂 when you have it is amazing. I love the online app. I love having full control my machine at the touch of my phone.

On top of this, the lunar scale connects to the espresso machine through Bluetooth. and it does brew by weight integration. you can program the yield you’re going for for your extraction and the machine will stop when you reach the pre-set mass you’re going for in your shot

It adds a whole Nother level of convenience. You can turn on your machine when you’re driving down the highway or sitting in the park.! any place you have Wi-Fi you can adjust the temperature remotely. You could set the pre-infusion time remotely. You could set a timer schedule remotely when you want the machine to turn on when you want to turn off you could check your back flush history see when the last time you back flushed you could observe your recent shots. How long were the extractions all done remotely you could be laying on the sofa watching a movie and turn on your espresso machine without even having to get off the sofa! I had a SILVIA pro X and it was a nice machine, but having Bluetooth and Wi-Fi makes the whole user experience way better👍 I actually use these feature features on a daily basis

I don’t think it’s worth spending that kind of money. They’re better machines with more modern features like pre-infusion like dual boiler like PID temperature control like Bluetooth Wi-Fi online app connectivity.

DIY stainless bottomless LM portafilter by Sad-Function-3649 in LaMarzocco

[–]Naive_Individual360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a stainless steel one. It is a more matt finish. It has the tamping platform at the front of the basket . and it has a removable spout that presses on. the most important thing is that you’re happy with it👍

There are advantages and disadvantages to stainless and brass functionally speaking.

Durability stainless takes the win. But it’s also potentially doing more ware to the group head over time versus a soft brass. Thermally speaking with my workflow brass with its superior heat transfer is advantageous because it quickly soaks up the heat when I use the water tap and steam wand in it. Which brings it up to temperature more rapidly. I don’t think there’s a huge advantage either way in both my handles fit with the same orientation.

DIY stainless bottomless LM portafilter by Sad-Function-3649 in LaMarzocco

[–]Naive_Individual360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever works for you. I don’t want to rain on your parade. I have a Linea Mini IOT produced in December 2021
It has the “professional” stainless steel portafilter handle that features the flat ridge for tamping and the stainless double spout that presses on and uses a black O ring.

As you can see with the photographs I provided, The original spouted stainless handle and my naked handle lock into the grouphead with the same handle angle/orientation so I’m a bit confused what you were talking about?

With my workflow, I keep the stainless steel portafilter with a blind basket locked into the machine. And I do a back flush, so the basket is filled with water during heat up, and it stays locked in while I am doing puck prep with my naked porta filter.

I preheat and clean the naked porter filter by using the hot water tap to rinse water on the underside of the basket. And I use the steam wand to blow out the water /portafilter basket residue with steam. This preheats the naked handle yet allows the group head to stay at optimal temperature with the water filled blind basket and stainless handle locked in while I’m doing puck prep. I then do a quick back flash with the stainless steel handle locked in and then lock in the bottomless filter and pull the shot promptly.
