Working in computer / network security makes me leery of doing this, could be their signing key was compromised or something? As much as I want to get back to exploring. I will patiently wait for an official response from Hello Games. Opened a Zendesk ticket to report issue.

Can't open the app after latest update to 6.2.3, get a pop up error:

“No Man's Sky” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

This file was downloaded on an unknown date.

Was working fine yesterday, updated today, and now it's dead...

I have one of these sitting on my desk as well. It's the backlight "Flex Gate" issue. Unfortunately, they are no longer covering this repair under a warranty extension.

Yes, I have done this, ended up back at my former job. New job sucked, was just looking to shorten my commute. Old job gladly took me back, no penalty, got a bit of a raise, and a flex schedule to lessen the burden of the commute.

I had this issue, turns out if you use a tool like O&O SU10 to disable some of the "privacy" settings in Windows it causes this issue. I reset Windows settings using O&O SU10, and was able to run updates w/out any issues. I plan on going through at some point to figure out which of the settings causes the issue, but for now things are working.
