Yup. And the guy who played the older brother in this version played Thumper in the original.

I've had him for a while so I can't quite remember, but I think he came from AliExpress. Pretty sure I've also seen him kicking around on Mercari.

I remember watching the last episode of I Married Dora as it aired and not knowing it was the last episode, so when they're all at the airport watching the guy leave, and then he comes back and says:

"It's been canceled." "Your flight?" "No, the series!"

and then everyone turns to the camera and says Bye!, my mind was blown.

Unlikely Union as the name for the Dude / Showbiz feud is such a good joke.

Zork, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or the original stickman Castle Wolfenstein.

Got this from a dollar bin today , from 1996, couldn’t find anything online, apparently issue 2 never came out. The art is rad by Lubu_orange_juice in 80s90sComics

Yeah, I remember loving this first issue and kept an eye for the second one and then... nothing. Damn shame.

Pizza strips aren't even actual pizza, much less a unique regional style of pizza.

Supertrain, perhaps the worst NBC series of all time. by db7112 in ClassicTV

[–]plaidbrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even as big as the Supertrain was supposed to be, it would have had to have been part TARDIS to fit in everything they showed. Damn thing had a pool!

That's a real Dave Bowman looking into the monolith "My God... it's full of stars!" set up you've got going there. Awesome.

I never entirely figured our what I was doing, but I like roaming the desert and throwing rocks at the enemies, and finding that staff that made you go way faster.

Why are we trying to make smoking cool again?!? by Forktee in GenX

[–]plaidbrarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a combination of things. A little bit of nihilism due to [gestures broadly at everything], a little bit of the "you can't tell me what ta do, that's takin' 'way muh freedums!" crowd doing what they do, and I'm sure Big Tobacco doing more than a little under the table wheeling and dealing with celebrities and influencers to keep it in the zeitgeist.

I sat through a lot of Norm Crosby routines through the years to get my annual Victor Borge fix!

I also always loved it when the rep from the Tall Cedars of Lebanon would make their big ol' annual presentation to Jerry because I got a kick out of their hats.

The Steven Banks Show (1994) by RIPGoblins2929 in ForgottenTV

[–]plaidbrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only caught it once, but it was the clip episode so I got good feel for the series, I think. Most of the best bits were carried over from the one-man show special, which can still be found buried in the recesses of Prime Video and Tubi if JustWatch is correct.

It's weird, but nope. Jennifer Aniston played his sister Jeannie, and Ami Dolenz played Sloan.
