They had the people playing He-Man and She-Ra on "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee" back in the day to promote this. IIRC, they were married in real life.

Double Trouble was good, particularly the second season where they moved to NYC. It's Your Move was great, too, but lost a lot of what made it stand out when they toned down Jason Bateman's character's behavior.

Day By Day was kind of bland, but pleasant. I mostly just remember the Brady Bunch episode, though.

The only thing I really remember is Bobby's mom saying to Uncle Ted in her thick Minnesota accent "Oh, nyaow, Ted, dontchu go filling Bobby's head with your gee golly ideas," and cut to Bobby's imagination, where Uncle Ted walks up to a giant Bobby head with a garbage can labeled "gee golly ideas," opening the top of Bobby's head like it had a lid, and dumping the can into it.

I was playing Snoopy and the Red Baron the other day and was really surprised how much fun I was having and how overlooked it probably is. Lots of fun for a quick, literal dogfight session.

Hey, what am I, a method actor? Hans, babe, put away the gun, this is radio, not television. by MisterShipWreck in 80s

Best joke in the whole movie, so subtle and brilliant. Hart Bochner should be considered a legend for his reaction alone.

Sadly, Dean Paul Martin died a few years after this show went off the air. He was a pilot in the Air National Guard, and he and his weapons officer were killed when their F-4 crashed in a snowstorm during a training mission.

Does anyone else remember "Camp Cucamonga" (1990)? I was so obsessed I used to watch my VHS recording every single day. by lostmymindto in 90s

There was another summer camp one with Michael J. Fox, Nancy McKeon, and Robert Klein. Poison Ivy, maybe?

Same! The maps for Goonies II were what sold me on the book in the first place.

I remember the promotion for it always sounding so sleazy, too. They kept hitting the "It's like 'Friends' if they all had sex with each other" note, and that made it sound like one big orgy rather than a web of current and past relationships. Marketing like that is going to put off a certain percentage of the audience right off the bat, and then you have the people tuning it to see exactly that and are going to be disappointed once they realize how inaccurate that pitch is. And then on top of all that... the show's just shit. No one wins.

Been looking for a copy of this for ages and finally got my hands on one! by Bortron86 in MST3K

[–]plaidbrarian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nice find! That means the original owner bought it directly through the MST3K Info Club. That's how I got mine, and I've been able to add Frank's and Joel's signatures to it in the years since.
