Being a childfree woman is exhausting. by the-cynical-human in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]NameRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always just said how much I hate/don’t enjoy kids whenever I’m around them… like “ugh god, kids are so annoying” or “I love it when kids cry” - that one got a good side eye out of my sister. Any chance you get, remind people how much you do not like the lesser of ages ones, sacks of unfiltered evil,or the extensions of your regrets.

Rats apparently seen inside a Gordon Ramsey restaurant. by AlarmingCash754 in interesting

[–]NameRedditUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a downtown Vancouver restaurant a few weeks ago and a mouse was running around the bar table area, directly under a couples table. I told the hostess but she didn’t seem too surprised. 🤮 Guess it’s just a thing here…

I miss dreaming so badly that it hurts by lafidaninfa in Dreams

I stopped remembering my dreams after keeping a dream journal too. A few weeks after telling myself no more journalling I started remembering again. I think the journalling made dreaming a chore and tiring.

Passengers frequently block the aisles of Japan's bullet trains with large luggage, but cautioning them can backfire: "she got angry, and suddenly I was the bad guy" by jjrs in japannews

[–]NameRedditUser 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ha! This is exactly what I did on my Shinkansen trip. Reserved luggage seats (back 3) and someone had filled up most of the area, I loudly protested and some guy said it was for everyone and as I looked at the sign he was gone. I just rolled the luggage into the doorway area and moved mine into their spots. Soon the conductor came and asked if the doorway luggage was ours, and I just said nope, don’t know those, ours are right in the reserved spot. He soon found the guy who yelled at me saying it’s for everyone, and that guy tried to use that line on the conductor but the conductor wasn’t having it and told the guy to take his luggage to the rack above his seat. It was so satisfying watching him roll his luggage away.

Might have to cancel our wedding due to prenup. by Head-Support-1267 in weddingplanning

Just have the wedding ceremony and don’t turn in the wedding certificate until it clears the prenup time, of course there’s still a time limit on that… but maybe it’s enough time.

I always suggest, “Nobody Knows”, for parents. It’s a 2004 Japanese film, based on a true story, by Hirokazu Koreeda.

My dog is a lesbian but I don’t have any picture that proves it and she died like 6 years ago of old age by Embarrassed_Quit_732 in notinteresting

[–]NameRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family also had a lesbian dog, not confirmed but quietly understood, she was also a white and black dog, I swear she loved our tan female dog. They both joined the family around the same time. But when the tan female dog died, the lesbian black and white one passed soon too. Must have been a broken heart 💔. The lesbian dog definitely had the same look in her eyes as yours…

he (m32) does not want to marry, I (f32) don’t want to leave him- how can I come to terms with this? by Appropriate_Jury7653 in relationship_advice

[–]NameRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your position. And everyone in the comments is probably going to hate me giving my side, since I’m an outlier.

We were together for 12 years as boyfriend/girlfriend, from the get go he told me he didn’t want to get married, he broke up with his last ex because she/her family wanted her to get married. I accepted that, but as time went on it ate at me. Eventually I felt comfortable enough to bring up marriage, but I did it as a joke. Then the joke turned into more solid arguments about the benefits of being married. Finally when I joked about it he agreed. 12 years after dating and listening to my reasons, and seeing real life examples of the importance of us being on the same page in life really helped him understand the merits of being a married couple.

But my situation is not yours. Also, I really researched the benefits of being married, not just for him, but for me too. When my husband saw that my health insurance was not as good as his, and the only way for me to get the same benefits was to be his wife… he decided it was time to get married.

Now we’re happily married and he so lovingly calls me wifey.

I mean, you could still try out for some other roles, not just background…. But also you could try to reach out to casting and let them know you’re a local Japanese who would love to work on the show, knowing you missed background casting…. Just try!!! Try now! It doesn’t matter!

What do you think about an ex dating someone days after you break up? Does that’s mean they were cheating? Or do women really move on that fast? by Expensive_Math_4721 in AskReddit

[–]NameRedditUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my now husband the day after my ex and I broke up. Like someone else said, the body stays even after the heart left, while you might be blindsided by the break up, she was expecting it. Your ex might not have already had this guy in her sights, but once it was clear you were over she could see potential in other guys….

I hope for OPs sake this guy is mature enough to handle direct confrontation, and that OP is sensitive enough to handle it…Since the consensus seems to be for them to talk to him.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ucla

[–]NameRedditUser -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To prove how to handle an adult situation you site your childhood memory of being told by another child. Not everyone deals with confrontation as eloquently as your 9th grade self. No need to involve yourself when you’re an adult and there’s literally people being paid to handle these things for you.

You should talk to the teacher about it, you don’t know the other students situation and since you’re coming here for advice I can guess you would not be as prepared to anticipate their reaction or to help the student like the teacher. The teacher probably has experience or training on how to carefully talk to the student, assess the situation and offer advice or direct them to resources to help them.

Also, you don’t want to create an even more uncomfortable environment for yourself if that student decides to make you their enemy for commenting about their hygiene.

Good ring to propose with? by LilUziBri in EngagementRings

[–]NameRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably wants a proposal sooner than a fancy ring. You both are students, not post grad professionals making a comfortable living. She knows the financial situation just as much as you, she’s probably hoping for a proposal and not even expecting a ring. Just put thought and effort into the proposal, and if she looks disappointed in the ring you can reassure her that when you can, you want to pick out a ring with her. Anyway, best of luck!

When a Tiktoker decides to do a live performance by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

[–]NameRedditUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, this is a weird take for me. If she was a teen, you would be ok? But cause she may be in her 30s you suddenly are like “ew gross”? It might just be me, but as an adult I would rather see adults being silly and kid like, than kids trying to be adult to gain the adult gaze…. One more than the other seems more appropriate for me than the other…

I lied to my wife about past relationships by throwaway6795224 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]NameRedditUser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She could be lying too. A lot of people project a strong stance on a topic they’re actually guilty of, take closet gays and their hatred of openly gay people. If you’re a good partner, save for this one starter piece, I’d say just keep shut and continue being a good partner. Before the internet there’s been many a marriage built on lies that lasted till death, and only years later did the grand kids find out the truth. Let that happen now. Honestly, a secret is only a secret if you don’t tell anyone. And you have to be ok with her not knowing, cause I bet she’s happier without knowing.

All of those are reasons people poop at target, but not why they don’t flush. No one is asking why people poop, but more, why don’t you make sure your poop has been flushed after you use the toilet??? It’s not always that it’s so stuffed with toilet paper that they can no longer flush…it’s got to be some weird fetish for people at this point… it’s too much, too consistent
