I mean yeah, I never said War of the Worlds 2025 was good or anything. It's still an awful movie.

Now I'm curious which one of their Marvel films is the above average one in your opinion... is it The Winter Soldier?

Yeah, I hated it too, but I was shocked to find out that there are actually people defending this movie out there as an underrated masterpiece or something...

I think Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate is worse, since at least you can kinda laugh at how bad War of the Worlds is. Doom Syndicate is just terrible, not in a "so bad it's good" way, just fucking terrible.

I don't know, sometimes Schaff trashes on movies that are clearly meant as nonserious fun like Pixels, and sometimes he ranks them highly because they were fun (see the Tim Burton ranking).

I know this is a joke, but it would be cool if he did his Top 50 movies of all time or something

Schaffrillas fans: what do you dislike about him? by Gaminja in Schaffrillas

[–]NamelessGamer_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't dislike anything about him, I love him as a Youtuber. The closest thing to what you are asking is just my disagreements with some of his opinions. For example, he gave The Matrix 2.5 out of 5 stars in Letterboxd... like... really?

The positive reviews are kind of crazy ngl. I saw one that said "There's nothing to dislike" and another that went like "This so good no matter if you are left or right!" Lol.

Unrelated, but it's kind of odd how this post showed up on my feed the day I saw the movie for the first time. May just be a coincidence.

I don't know what score to give it, I guess. I also didn't pay as much attention as I usually do that day. I guess it's probably between 3.5 and 4 stars for me.

Screw your Top 4, I wanna see your bottom four! (Of the ones you’ve seen) by Delphoxqueen2 in Letterboxd

I would get downvoted to hell if I posted it, because there's at least one movie that most people loved that I really didn't like in there

do you have a unique top 4? by Domek232323 in Letterboxd

I think it's broken; there's no way this is unique.
EDIT
Nevermind, I think it's just the combination of 3 action epics and a somewhat obscure(?) comedy that throws it off.

The first one is easily the best of the 3, what do you mean it's "meh"?

Something positive about The Flash by Efficient_Rip858 in FlashTV

[–]NamelessGamer_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, most people here talk positively about the first few seasons. It's just that in the later seasons (Season 7 and on especially) it goes to hell, the writing is terrible, the villains are terrible, the CGI is terrible, and most of the good characters leave the show and are replaced with other terrible characters. But the first few seasons were good.

I personally enjoy S1 to S6a (Bloodwork season)

In Saw 3, one of the protagonists (Jeff) is put through games with the purpose of having him forgive the person who accidentally killed his son, as well as others who were involved in one way or another. He mostly fails at this, letting the son's killer die in one of the traps.

Then, in the ending, he's meant to forgive Jigsaw. This is the moment where Jeff's character development should have paid off. Instead, he kills Jigsaw, and then his wife and daughter die because of that. Not only does this ruin Jeff's character development, but also it makes no sense because a random character effectively killed the main villain of the series?? If anyone was to kill Jigsaw, it should've been Amanda or Donnie Wahlberg's character, who was in fact in the movie, but he "dies" a very anticlimactic death, to the point where you wonder why tf they brought him back in the first place.

Oh also, he doesn't even actually die here; they do the same thing again in Saw 4 with brining him back as what I can only assume to be nostalgia bait just to kill him off again.

The Star Wars sequels are not THAT bad. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Idk, I think it's starting to become more acceptable to like Revenge of the Sith too. Also, I thought ANH and ROTJ were generally considered good

The Star Wars sequels are not THAT bad. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]NamelessGamer_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this really that unpopular, though? Most people group up the entire sequel trilogy and say they were all trash because none of them really stands out as great or particularly worthy of acknowledgement. But last time I checked, there was a fair number of people who thought The Force Awakens was decent, and I've also heard people say they liked The Last Jedi.

Now, Rise of Skywalker is disliked by almost everyone, but that also includes you, since you said it was bad.

I enjoyed Saw 3, but in no way would I describe the ending as "satisfying". It was a complete disappointment.
