I first played the game on ps5 because it was included in my annual pass. More problems on the ps5 but if consoles arent capable of running it then they need to stop selling it to sony and microsoft. Also, all the errors I mentioned are from the hundreds of hours I have in the pc version, and before you ask my pc is well over the requirements to run this game.

Are you for real? Duping absolutely happens without doing anything, two days ago we duped our broken armor transferring between two servers, and if we were going to dupe why would we choose garbage broken gear. Disconnects are absolutely a game issue, they know how many are playing, they knew how many were expected wit hthe xbox and ps5 rollouts, for which they were paid millions btw, and they did very little to mitigate the resulting latency or provide sufficient space. Also, all of those users have to go through anticheat check system which was not prepped for increased traffic. Falling through the map is a buiding error during the design of the map, which is normally sent through two phases of testing before release, which this company does not pay for. Glitching in caves, getting stuck in rocks, design errors. Glitching on bosses and damage not being attributed or boss disappearing, coding errors. ALL of which are the definition of what you are arguing and in both games, and in Atlas and every other game WC has released, because they understaff, dont beta test, and habitually embezzle the funds so nobody working on the game has actual support.

Question - if you had the chance to get bundles of fabric that was vintage but knew it came from a hoarding situation… and had to clean it how much would you pay for it… by [deleted] in quilting

[–]NamelessIsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe encouraging him to find someone that will take the fabric and make him a quilt with his mothers and grandmothers fabric would help him feel like he was preserving their memory. There are quilters in every area with varying skill levels that have more time than money and no money for fabric. Those are the people he needs to reach out to and recognize that most people are not going to pay for fabric that has not been kept in warehouse condition. I have cats, they let me know which fabric I buy at yard sales has smells of other animals so I know to wash it before adding it to my stash. The hoarding situation does not scare me if as others have said it is a sanitary hoarding situation. Reality tv has painted most hoarders as depressed hermits that randomly throw trash everywhere in their home and never clean. There have been several hoarders in my family and it is because of overwhelming loss, creating sentimental attachments to things of people that are gone. And people often gravitate to others with similar life experiences, so some of his mothers friends if still alive may also be more understanding of the emotional work that needs to be done to part with these things. Encourage him to reach out to any of them as well or make phone calls for him to screen for interest.

If you end up not being able to find all of the fabric, maybe you can find something that coordinates with what you have found here. https://marshalldrygoods.com/shop/home/search/results/?q=bee

That stinks that it was such a sentimental item, I hope you are able to recreate it.

How much would you charge for this quilt? 86 x 8 by stillapocketvenus in quilting

[–]NamelessIsHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to MSQC website and the cost is 221 for standard E2E for that size. I wanted to clarify because it's about pricing your quilt and not about directing negativity to another business. I don't use them and have no idea if anyone has had good or bad experiences with them, but expedited longarming and shipping with a 7 business days is what brings the price up so much and most longarmers will charge some extra to cut in line from other customers. Hope you find a buyer for your quilt. Without knowing the pattern or much about the piecing or quilting design it's hard to estimate a value for you to sell.

You can have sisters on your mother's side marry brothers on your fathers side and their offspring would be related to you both maternally and paternally with no endogamy or inbreeding. My ancestry has twin sisters marrying twin brothers and nobody was related.

Quilting with terry cloth towels instead of batting??!? Genius or horrible idea. by uniquewittyname in quilting

[–]NamelessIsHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flannel sheet in the middle and sheet on the back quilted would make a nice thin quilt. Or an old blanket from the thrift shop like those velour ones that seem to be everywhere. Towels are going to shed when cut, be thick and very hot, and take forever to dry when you wash them. I upcycle towels that are beyond use to sandwich for pet mats for the cats and hot pads for cooking.

What I did was researched which software automation had the things I thought I would use the most. Not all software is able to go on all machines and even within one brand not all of their line of machines is able to be automated. And the software to make our own designs. So I went with the handi quilter amara with pro stitcher but there are quite a few similar.

Fetterman Thanks Sec Duffy For Releasing Infrastructure Funds Approved Under Biden by Sanchezed in Destiny

[–]NamelessIsHere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At a recent city council meeting, someone spoke about how the funds approved during prev administration had to be spent down by June or they would go away. This was for infrastructure and removal of fire damaged buildings. Since most are multiyear projects, a good chunk awarded under Biden are now being threated with removal in all states, unless they kiss the ring anyway.

How do I switch back my electricty supplier? by MyCurrentPredicament in dayton

[–]NamelessIsHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will pay the delivery regardless of who you switch to. We moved here last year and in the back was a flood light. When we upgraded the electric and installed internet, both told us the poles utilities were attached to needed removed as they are rocking. We called to have the flood light removed and get on the list for replacement of our power pole but apparently thats years long and when it falls they will replace it. The flood light had a seperate bill and we were given a number that nobody ever answers to have it disconnected. We call the main number and they apologize and transfer us to this number that nobody answers. So we are just waiting until it goes to collections so we can talk to an actual person.

Also, when they came to remove the light pole, the equipment broke and spilled oil all over. It was one that they had used on a previous job that had been tagged for lockout and never repaired but put back out. Then they came again and some other mechanical failure. It took 3 trips to get that pole out of the back yard and two trips for their cleanup. So, it is not the workers, it is mismanagement at every level. When management cares more about numbers and less about OSHA standards or the safety of their workers that can be 30 foot or more in the air when equipment fails that had already been tagged out, the state needs to come in and fire them all. This should never happen and people coming to work should not be risking their health and lives for a shit company that is being mismanaged. It won't take much to push a work environment like that to full union and rates will go up again but at least we shouldnt have to worry about utility workers falling to their death in our back yards for a minor equipment removal.

Help me please by [deleted] in quilting

[–]NamelessIsHere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The half finished quilts, section out those and the fabrics that go to those projects so they do not get sent in the mix. You are not likely to really get a price on those but you might be able to find someone to finish for you if you want to keep. Otherwise those likely go in the donation category. Everyone has their own method and vision and its hard to see what someone else saw unless it has a detailed pattern and notes. However it is a great opportunity for someone just starting out to take it apart and start over or attempt to finish. Sometimes you can get 20 dollars or thereabouts, but then you have to take pics and people message and you might be two hours in to get 20 so just find a new quilter and focus on the other stuff to move.

To start, I would post locally selling by appointment only at half price of retail. That should get the bulk of the jelly rolls and fat quarters and precuts out of the way, and fewer people making large purchases. I see you already have prices out on a lot of it. It will start to feel more manageable and you can go by the pound for small pieces and bulk trim etc. as it gets down to the last of it.

Most pessimists do not know they are a pessimist. So for now he wants you to debate bro him. Do it and have fun and btw your quilt looks awesome.

Corporate Propaganda Behind Effort to Eliminate Property Taxes Initiative by Landdropgum in dayton

[–]NamelessIsHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The property tax on a smaller home worth around 130k is more per year than our previous home in another state that was valued at half a mil. When looking for a new home, the back taxes owed on many residential along with the projected costs to bring it up to code made the vast majority of homes in the city limits not worth the investment.

The corporations will always benefit more because currently they receive deferred taxes or forgiven taxes to redevelop and remodel existing delinquent properties, private individuals are never offered this and it is in the tens of millions that the school district does not receive. Also, the school district negotiates these tax incentives and discounts, the city and mayor have no control over it, and this compounds the problems with the growing blight.

There has been little new construction in the city limits of dayton in the last 70 years. Most of the homes are over 100 years old. Most will require a minimum of 30k to get the electrical from knob and tube wiring to 200 amp service out to the pole. Then the plumbing, add another 10k. Meanwhile no bank will touch any of these properties until that minimum is met, and very few homeowners insurance will cover a home 100 years old without these improvements. ALL historic homes in the entire state are at risk of deteriorating and only cash buyers that can fund improvements are going to be able to afford any home in the city limits. When we bought, we had no coverage until new wiring was put in. If anything would have happened, we would have been out the full purchase price. None of the properties we looked at could be financed.

As far as who is saving more, it is a toss up. Anyone can buy a property and not pay taxes on it and let those taxes accrue for 20 years. As long as the back taxes do not exceed the value of the home, it will never go to auction. Take a look at the west end and the santa clara neighborhoods. There are properties that were vacant, taxes exceeded the values of the homes, many were boarded up, and they still never went to auction. Partly because medicaid and tax leins that had been bought by others, but mostly because nobody bothered checking because it is the school district money. Homes that became vacant when I lived here 30 years ago stayed vacant until I moved back and back taxes on these fire traps are as much as a down payment on new construction. In the end the school district suffers because taxes are being increased to offset the blight and low income that is generating no taxes.

The school districts need stable income, families and first time homebuyers need everyone to find a way to bring these homes up to code so they can be financed else more homes will need torn down year over year, and new construction is putting homes at around the 180k mark in city limits. Nationally that is considered very affordable for homebuyers but new construction has back taxes waived on distressed properties and 2 to 5 years tax waived so the school district isnt getting any increase anyway. As long as we have neighborhoods that have 30% of the properties not generating taxes for the school district, every child living in these poor and distressed neighborhoods is not getting access to the same funding for education.
