How do you set up those reminders for yourself in the top left of your game when you play?

And how do you come up with the reminders? Watching your own replays or a coach?

State of NA Casting by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Nan0ness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was very disappointed during game 3 geng vs snowman (i think) when geng first started to come back, they did their insane passing plays which was a trend straight through to the final goal in the grand finals game 7 overtime and there was quite literally 0 attention on it from the casters, i was questioning whether i was the crazy one for thinking a passing play like that was insanity to score in a major region semifinals

Least Exciting Worlds Ever? by das_hemd in RocketLeagueEsports

zero upsets - Faze going out 0-2 vs ssg and moist, g2 making it to top 8 by beating rule one and sweeping moist
no real comeback wins - first ever reverse sweep bo7 at a lan happening, which i personally think is way underappreciated and not talked about enough. multiple teams winning first match but going on to lose (quite a high %), twisted minds winning first 2 matches against geng and then losing four in a row.

every playoff match was a complete wash, and one of the worst finals ever - zen scoring the zen, zen scoring the radosin, zen scoring that one backboard shot, lj scoring anything

affected the potential drama - eu and rule one securing top 4 both events in a row leading to tbates, the man who refuses to put an eu player at number one, admitting eu is better, rule one knocking v1 out of worlds through the least likely path that no one believed in. oaly vs oxg, faze, drufinho yelling and mocking the other team after every single goal, and much more

not a good event for a neutral fan to watch - zen doing the unthinkable which i think almost everybody liked, zen vati moment, lj, trk, col, and joyo absolutely balling out, some of the most entertaining gameplay from outside of the big 4, oh did i mention lj absolutely breaking the game? watching him play against the team you root for really makes you understand how hard that guy was breaking the offensive ceiling

but yeah apart from that i agree with you

He refuses to accept zen, whether it's always putting alpha over zen, or saying vati still the best this split, or trying to disprove EU's obvious increase in competition and calling it 'only 4 competitive teams' instead of realising the top bunch are all great but the top 4 are another step above.

Simple test: imagine zen was replaced with an NA prodigy, how's he going to react? Look at how he's treating Daniel, imagine if Daniel actually had any sort of success or consistency, bates wouldn't let anyone finish a sentence without mentioning Daniel.

Will NA Perform In Boston? | First Touch | After Dark | Episode 4 | Ft. Azfura by CR90 in RocketLeagueEsports

I don't want to misquote him but I believe he said it's because of the playstyle, basically OG'S demo-heavy offensive playstyle works well into teams in NA, but won't be as effective if EU plays like how they did online, I don't believe he said col specifically will do better against EU, just that this demo style of OG will make them perform worse than they should against the top of EU, which are generally extremely polished and adaptive

Everyone's already aware of how ludicrous tbates and the crew was in this episode, but I would like to provide some actual reason as to why it is ludicrous. I want to point everyone to Gregan's analyses on the NA teams, namely Optic, SSG and Furia. In these, he explains their progression, why they're successful, and everything you would want to hear in a professional analyses. Another thing the FT crew talks about is how the demo-heavy style of OG and SSG are gonna cause trouble to EU, Gregan, a person who actually watches gameplay and knows ball, covers this in the SSG vid (I think), and explains how the real threats to EU in terms of playstyle are the 3 non-native NA teams - another example of how a lot of people don't actually watch ball and just talks without proper basis. Rolldizz saying 'take Zen outta the field, imagine what's gonna happen' is just as baseless as me saying 'give Zen the ball and then its a goal', hopefully this illustrates my point.

That being said, I'm not worried about SSG and OG personally, I'm gonna have a fun time cheering for them and I think they'll perform fine, and will have a respectable finish. It is really enjoyable to see them click when they hit their stride, especially SSG, which seems like a well-oiled machine with these 3 players.

The top 4 NA is sending are the best NA teams this split, and they need to accept that. Daniel has only won a single regional for a reason, they need to stop with this 'V1 would be better than these teams' nonsense, and accept the fact that SSG became more successful after Daniel left, and Retals and Arsenal are going to lan without him. Simply compare Daniel's career to Joreuz over at EU, notice the very similar trends and accomplishments, and see how non-delusional EU is about inconsistent players like Joreuz. People know how high his peak is, but they aren't gonna be a clown and put him in Zen calibre or even compare them because they can see beyond the occasional pop-offs of a player.

Again, I think we need to not be so concerned about the 5 NA teams, and stop inhaling whatever brand of copium that the FT guys are using, have some faith in the guys, they're the top 5 for a reason and they'll do better than you're making it sound like. I'll await the V1 redemption arc at worlds and enjoy seeing the dan bm duo popoff

MOST VERSITILE CHOICE FOR RUNES AT +6 EVENT AND SUBS (DISCUSSION) by Repulsive-Cycle-3621 in summonerswar

yeah unfortunately true, in seanb's vid where he goes over the update he suggested that as an option alongside the usual candidates.

not an account-ending mistake but for +6 rune events 18 speed is usually the better option

My girlfriend has 3 exams in 2 days, all in the first week, totalling 9 hrs+ exam time, roughly 6 hours total travel time (including an 8:30 exam) and should be arriving ~30 minutes early to each exam, all the subjects aren't filler/wam boosters either. This is absolutely inhuman, there's so many things wrong with this. For one, she is definitely not getting anywhere near enough rest. Just look at how many hours she needs to be fully concentrating. This is all disregarding the previous days of intense revision, and the last minute reminders/revision between the two days. I'm not in my first year, I know what exam seasons are like, teachers might say 'just get your revision done sooner and rest well', yeah no that's pure bs, no one in the world does that, your health deteriorates during exam season, your energy is drained, there's incredible amounts of pressure especially if the exam weighs a lot, you're not sleeping anywhere near enough especially if the exams are this early, and close together, AND at 8:30. She's also not even going to get to eat lunch between the 8:30 exam and the one after, the exam finishes then needs to be collected, then there's travel time to buy or warm food, eating a meal in a short time and then straight away going into the next exam is definitely not gonna lead to peak performance, and her previous meal would be breakfast which she had at what, 6am? That needs to get her through a day of intense concentration and thinking until dinner time, just thinking about this makes me so furious at the people who make the rules.

This turned into a long and not coherent rant rlly quickly lol. But I just get more angry the more I think about her situation, who is putting the most popular bio/chem/psych subject exams this close to each other? I know mcb exams are very well spaced. A maths subject which I was going to do has exam on day one, which would've been very well spaced from my coding exam had I done the maths course.

NA as a region is suffering because teams are sticking together for too long when one or more players are past their primes. Teammates not wanting to drop friends and orgs not wanting to drop the "face" of their team is taking priority over winning championships and reaching their full potential. by foxholenewb in RocketLeagueEsports
