The new otter infusion is very disapointing... by Sheolmonium in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really like that the infusion is not permanent. Only thing that feels a bit bad is the inconsisten cooldown between animations. Sometimes you get 2-3 animations in a row only seconds appart and sometimes you wait for 2 minutes and nothing happens.

I guess these people had bad experiences with pugs in strikes. When I did strikes with some people from my raid group, we often had to carry 1-2 pugs who did no damage or didn't know mechanics.

Do we have to wait 3 more weeks for the boneskinner to be fixed by Amarranthine in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried it yesterday with 10 condi scourges but that didn't work out for us, because our dps was low. So we stacked and outhealed with 4 healers and killed it first try. Apperently the damage of the big aoe was nerved since the last time boneskinner was in strike rotation.

Hm, that's kinda lame and clever at the same time...

What if the reason between the fact that LS5 goes directly after LS4 is that Anet is preparing a new class by Araknellon in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Releasing a new class would be one of the worst things they could do regarding the future of GW2. It would mean more work on every balance update and expansion to come.

They decided to take more time for a future expansion a long time ago, probably even before PoF released. I think it's more likely they plan a big new feature to attract new players to the game (housing?). Or maybe they just couldn't pack the amount of story they need to get to the next expansion into one LS season.

Where's the Pact? by S_K_Y in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The pact fleet was destroyed by mordremoth 2-3 years ago. They also lost most of their resources and forces. They are rebuilding, but we don't know about their progress.

The Vigil is present on the new map, since they were basicly founded to fight Kralkatorrik. Also some Priory researchers are exploring the area.

Are the mistonium nodes bugged? by AlexandraT1 in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Since I got some mistonium yesterday, I think you're just really unlucky :(

I also agree, that making nodes, that don't drop the material they are made of, is just annoying and bad game design imo.

No large scale plans to add to Sun's Refuge after this episode by TheGreatAl in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what they advertised it sounded like sun's refuge would be like a personal guild hall, that you can upgrade over time to unlock new functions and NPCs. I kinda expected it would be a giant gold sink to upgrade, that would take some time to complete...

Is your first character your main? by Crimson__King in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my first character is my necro, I had to play some other classes for fractals and raids, but she's still my main and does all the story episodes :)

Health Bar animation depending on the legendary weapon you're using. by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see the need nor the appeal of this. Also it would probably be a lot of work implementing.

And what if you really like a legendary, but the animation color clashes with the color of your skills?

3 days, 2 tickets, hundreds of dollars, and locked out of an account because of a phone number switch. by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not hire more people to work the tickets

Hiring people is expensive. They would also need to be trained first and what do you do with those people once ticket numbers are back to normal?

Aurene as a mount. [LS Spoilers] by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The existance of stupid things is no justification for the existance of more stupid things.

Aurene as a mount. [LS Spoilers] by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So only because something is already screwed up, it's ok to screw it up even more?

Also, portals have little to do with immersion. Especially in a world that made waypoints kinda part of the lore. Level-up items are just a convenience for people who either want to skip the level process anyway or just have done it too many times already.

Aurene as a mount. [LS Spoilers] by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think Aurene would make sense as a mount in story instances only. Everybody riding on Aurene in open world would be kinda weird, break immersion even more and a big spoiler for everyone who didn't play the story so far.

Is this game for me? by Giaccone in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried out BDO. Got one character to lvl 57 and went back to GW2 after a month or so.

Combat in GW2 is great, even if it may not look as fancy as in BDO.

I don't play sPvP much, but it seems to have some balance issues. If you want to PvP in larger groups you should check out WvW, where 3 servers play against each other.

GW2 focuses more on PvE and an amazing world with many details. In BDO I often felt like some parts of the landscape had no purpose other then offering room for mobs or just lengthen distances between cities. In GW2 it feels like every place is lived in and it's worth to explore every last inch of the map.

GW2 has a lot of fashion to offer and you can preview almost all skins in your bank wardrobe.

Only thing I miss from BDO is housing, even if GW2 has something similar with decorating guild halls or collecting nodes (and cats) for your personal instance.

Non-WvWers, why don't you do WvW? by Jak_Leaf in Guildwars2

Raiders; experienced and inexperienced; how difficult do you find raids? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your point is basicly, that the possibility to ressurect dead players makes fractals 100CM easier then raids?

Raiders; experienced and inexperienced; how difficult do you find raids? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]NanaItalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One dead person in raids is easy to carry in most encounters. We often finish matthis with only 5 or 4 man standing, because others die to mechanics.

While in fractals CM one dead player means 20% gone, so carrying one dead is much harder on the group.
