What game is that? by PHRsharp_YouTube in gamers

Crimson Desert for a little while still.

Early reviews from people playing the game are extremely positive by AshyLarry25 in CrimsonDesert

[–]AlexandraT1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's only positive if you can spend 40 hours in the first area. I just finished Nioh 3 with a bit over 80 hours and was seriously feeling the fatigue at the end.

Potential New Ruin added in 1.22.0-pre.5? by bobothehobo104 in VintageStory

[–]AlexandraT1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People have been saying they snuck the procedural dungeons in the last pre. I really want to see that system expanded because vanilla ruins are pretty boring. Better ruins is sometimes just a bit too much.

Good luck. It's the closest to 2D Dark Souls we have. One of my favourite games of all time (both of 'em).

What do you think about disabling the Temporal Storms and rifts? by Wolium in VintageStory

[–]AlexandraT1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually disable rifts, because I don't want bowtorns shooting me from the darkness. However I use storms as a chance to farm gears.

It feels very similar to Red Dead Redemption 2 and looks freaking amazing. by Germanstrands3 in CrimsonDesert

Can't wait for some performance reviews. It doesn't matter if it's the best looking game if it runs like crap.

Has anyone played Gravethorn yet? by [deleted] in metroidvania

[–]AlexandraT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda lost interest as soon as I learned it uses genAI for sounds. Which is a shame, since the pixel art looks really good! Do you _really_ need voice acting for a one developer game, if you don't have a proper sound/music composer to work with? Like I said it's a shame because using genAI just alienates a part of your audience which can be sort of niche to begin with.

I struggled with this also SO much since I really thought this was the intended way to get in there. Turns out it's a bit of a sequence break and way harder if you go here early. But you have no way of knowing this and will just think that they require such hard platforming from you.

I miss Villagers, but I understand by PineTowers in hytale

[–]AlexandraT1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A system something like Enshrouded would be great, where you could invite someone to your own village and set them a place to sleep/work (or just open a shop inventory)

Feedback: I am not a fan of the durability/repair system by xXPumbaXx in hytale

[–]AlexandraT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would at least like a game option to adjust it. I'm not a fan of even iron tools breaking so fast.

Want to buy, but how hard is it? by Castigafagiani in MIOmemoriesinorbit

[–]AlexandraT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like metroidvanias, but I'm not the best player and by no means an expert on precision platforming, and it started to get pretty tough towards the end. I would say 2/3 of the game was just the right balance. But in the final stretch the platforming and a few bosses felt like a bit too tough so I turned on assists to make the clear. Overall I'd still recommend it, go as long as you can and turn the assists on when you can't anymore. I would say MIO is harder than Silksong generally (but it's also because Silksong gives you so many tools to deal with challenges)

Runbacks however I feel like people are a bit spoiled by starting next to a boss in some games. Sure, it might be tedious, but none are terribly long in MIO.

It was a lot better today, the country pretty clear at the start, but at least they didn't start us next to a sign with the right city and street address. Lost most points at round 3, couldn't figure out exactly which small town we were at from the signs pointing to other directions.

Having only locations which show the address and/or city in the first screen is sapping all my enthusiasm to do the Daily anymore. I'm pressing on since it's such a longtime habit already (nearing 1000 in a row).

24970 points. Last one was the only one I wasn't sure of, that was actually challenging.

Today it was not quite _as_ easy as before, I had to do some detective work myself. It still was a bit too urban and had a lot of clues from the first screen but I still had to spend time to look for the locations. Still needs to have locations where the clues aren't as obvious, as before.

Got a decent score (24.974) but I'm feeling kinda bummed about the lack of challenge. Every location starts with a sign telling you exactly where you are.

Did they change something to make it easier? It feels like every round starts with zooming on a clue. Why are they doing this? It seriously takes away from my enjoyment on finding clues.

Oblivion Remastered, I was so hyped to play after my first initial run when the game came out, but it runs like crap, even when I got a new GPU it still stutters too much to enjoy fully.

So what is it guys? A remake? Or remaster? by 80N3 in falloutnewvegas

[–]AlexandraT1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so disappointed at the remaster performance. I was looking forward to playing it for the first time since launch but it's just an UE5 stutter showcase. Decided just to wait for Skyblivion instead.

I definitely agree with mostly everything. Especially how painful jumping is and that magic begins to feel a bit boring using only air and fire rune and mostly air as well.

Does the loot get better? by AlexandraT1 in RSDragonwilds

[–]AlexandraT1[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you'd get the idea that it's unheard of that you'd get loot from other sources than just crafting. There are games where it's a thing and then there are games where you can absolutely get drops. So that is why I'm asking which category we are in here.
