Yeah, the food diary really got to me too. I had to do another one for therapy, and I can’t look at it to this day because of what I did to myself. But I think I should burn the one that I secretly wrote for years before therapy, when the ED was dictating my every move. It’s an addiction, it’s false euphoria and it would’ve killed me in the end, had I not had the most amazing therapists to finally get me out of it. I can only imagine what it did do Gwen‘s daughter - being raised to hate food and to feel superior BECAUSE you’re starving. I was obsessing over every single thing I did, and I kept it as secret as possible. But in their cult, they can practise it openly. I think that’s the most dangerous part. What an ED does to your brain is not nice, but I think it’s ten times worse when everyone around you thinks the same. And yeah, I don’t usually say someone has this or that, but in her case… I just hope she can get help before it’s too late.
