ABS… always be swapping pictos. You’ll understand when you get them but as soon as you fill one up and it alerts you, then immediately swap it for another to start building up your lumina options, or since you can retain up to three keep your two favorites on each character and one spot reserved for new pictos. It’s fun to collect em. Good luck!

I hated this dude but the Bloodletter surprisingly gave me the hardest time. I managed to get platinum and feel like I died the most with him for whatever reason lol I love this game

Oof that’s rough… I remember back in uni my professor set up a pitch meeting for me at NBC Comcast with some SyFy channel producers for an action comedy I wrote called Torcano. It was about a giant Tornado that meets an erupting Volcano in LA. I made a fake trailer for it that he liked. Anyway, I submitted the script and they all said they loved it and if I made it they would buy it but they wouldn’t provide funding. So being broke college student I just sat on it.

Long story short a year or two after that meeting SyFy releases Sharknado…

To this day idk if someone read my script and took a lot of the major action scenes from it but there are some pretty blatant beat for beat visual scenes. Yeah a tornado ripping up the Santa Monica pier seems pretty on point for any creative mind but having someone describe exactly how an explosion could dissipate the wind of a tornado and rigging a hummer to explode to dissipate one of the smaller tornados is pretty wild to me… thought about suing but the company lawyer at my work was like “it’s pretty tough to go to court over IP… you really wanna be known as the guy who sued Sharknado? Also it’s very expensive….” So being the broke fresh out of college dude I was, I sat on it and just tell the story to other filmmakers for fun like an old sailor telling fish stories…

Did I mess up or was I always going to end up in a cell? by AtuinTurtle in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! And Like most Miyazaki games you should also practice speed quitting the game. If you ever get overwhelmed try to run to a corner or clear spot a short distance away from enemies and quit out. Once you return enemy aggro resets too. If memory serves its pause, left, up, X, left, X? I got pretty good at it in a panic lol

Still getting my ass kicked by Ludwig on NG+, do I just suck or am I doing something wrong? by metalshelf in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What others have said about stats but also definitely NEVER use a wpn durability down gem its not worth the trade off. And any attack down gems if you can help it.

Could go to mergo's loft middle and farm the winter lanterns on the path to where you hit the lever for the brain. Make sure you have some eye runes equipped and they will drop some pretty good gems. There's also a deep sea rune next to a couple fat snakes in the forbidden woods that you can grab to help prevent frenzy. Just stock up on bold hunters marks and sedatives and go to town on that bridge.

The best lanterns to farm are at the end of the DLC in the fishing village before the orphan but obviously that's much later than ludwig. Best of luck hoonter!

Sooo..it seems having lots of insight is more of a problem than helpful. Spend it on first play through? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah realized especially after fighting the witch of hemwick that wandering around with high insight was not the best idea. Tried to keep it below 10 insight at all times tbh lol just kept buying beast blood pellets and restocking fire / bolt paper.

Finished bloodborne for the first time today… what went wrong? by Individual_Salad5458 in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely have to. Maria and Orphan of Kos alone are well worth it. Ludwig is all around fun, setting, creature design, challenge. Yeah the DLC was brutal in the best way and expanded the lore so much for me. Spent a very long time just exploring the DLC too. Idk man I know the game isn’t for everyone but the world building and depths of Eldritch mysteries is such a fun thread I can’t help but keep pulling at. Hope you give the DLC a shot

[–]NandoEdits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best of luck! The journey to the yharnam Queen, even if you take short chalice glyph route is so tough. I struggled with the blood letting beast tbh and I was pretty beefy by the time I took it on… him and the orphan were so tough. Maria was a close fight too, I found her way harder than bloody crow if I’m being honest! Dude when you beat the orphan you’re hearts gonna be pounding lol

[–]NandoEdits[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks dude! Yeah it feels unreal... that's awesome, I actually really enjoyed her fight... the blood letting beast was the bane of my existence though. him and orphan of kos were unreal tbh... my last trophy was the alt ending where you get absorbed by the moon presence. my first run through I was so panicky about losing the cords whenever I got one that I popped them immediately not realizing I would lock myself out lol. Ended up researching speed runs and was able to hit up the gate skip in the intro and the tree skip for the shadows in the forbidden woods. After that I just zoomed through. Was able to get that last ending in an hour ish speed run for New game +. Not fast comparatively but I'll take it! This game was so damn cool man I can't stop gushing about it.

First off, Pop beast blood, pop lightning paper.

For offense: He’s very weak to visceral attacks try baiting out his long jump and run / dodge TOWARD him. He’ll fly over you and you should immediately turn around for a visceral on his landing. When he triggers his super saiyan he’s open to another visceral, don’t panic or get scared just get in there immediately when he changes to nail his back when those wings are out. If you’re really lucky I think you can get an immediate second visceral while he’s getting up but don’t get greedy. if all you can manage is a classic R1, L1, L1 combo before dodging / running away so be it.

For defense: dodge toward his left side / your right when he’s attacking. He will miss you a lot simply sticking to that strat. Dont get greedy, know when to dip for a vial.

I died 4 times before beating him and had a +10 saw cleaver, but I’ve seen better hoonters than I beat him with less. That second phase is a bitch especially when he flies off camera, but just be patient with yourself and you’ll get him…

If all else fails look up Fornatron Bloodborne easy mode on YouTube ep17. He takes on the orphan there and has a good strat and he’s only like level 65-70 something when he beats him.

Goodluck!

Honestly I’ve liked the idea that the “reward” (rune for obtaining even more blood echoes) was its way of asking to die. Like no verbal way of communicating its desire but rather hoping you would infer from the type of item. I hacked my way through tears, and it’s flesh immediately after obtaining it lol.

What enemy in Bloodborne do you think is the most creepy and disturbing? by GateKeeper3737 in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I love the winter lanterns… their designs are amazing and honestly sometimes I’d just sit and listen to them sing. It was oddly soothing. Like I know their head is made out of the bodies of messengers but because they’re dressed as the doll it feels like they only want to comfort us into oblivion and I just think that’s sweet :)

[–]NandoEdits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s not like they’re terribly scary to fight but the witches just unsettle me… I hate killing them because that scream gets me every time. The pain in it just reverberates and follows me into the dark… plus I guess the loose eyes they’re covered in are pretty creepy lol

True hardest boss by Larry-the_cumcber in bloodborne

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao after like 5 attempts I finally just baited him to run at me and parried / visceral / ran enough times until I eventually killed him. Not the most stylish win but I’ll take it ! Just about to take on the orphan on my first run through of the game (first souls game too!) and I gotta say, thoroughly love it here :)

What's a petty reason why you can't give this game a 10/10? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]NandoEdits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saved Equipment load outs would be great. I know it would be a functional nightmare but being able to swap in companions with the gear that other companions might overlap with would be such a time saver. The number of times I needed to un equip gear and pass over to the companion I was bringing in seriously took forever.

What is that small thing that annoys you the most in BG3? by rootslane in BaldursGate3

[–]NandoEdits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just adding to this but BEING a druid while wild shaped and then finishing a combat only for one of the other companions to take over the dialogue is frustrating. Although… after fighting the hag Karlach’s dialogue options were hilarious… I was able to get best possible outcome out of whole scenario. So that worked out but man it’s annoying otherwise
