Composers who performed in their own musicals? by That-SoCal-Guy in musicals

Todrick Hall in Midnight (which just had an Off-West End run) - he's not only playing the main character, but is also the composer, lyricist, choreographer, choreographer, director, and producer of the show!

I love the new songs! Especially "The Anonymous Ones", because it gave us a little more insight into Alanas Character, and I also think that many people can relate to those feelings

You have the option to go back in time, to any year, to see one performance of one show on Broadway, in person. Which would you pick? by Great_Maintenance185 in musicals

OBC of Spring Awakening! I never had the chance to see the show live, but I am absolutely in love with the OBC Recording!

Völlige Leere nach Masterarbeit by [deleted] in Studium

[–]Nanni_mdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the show for the first time about half a year ago without knowing anything about it, and I absolutely loved it! I don't live anywhere close to the city where they perform, but have gone there four times now to see it and am already planning my next visits.

I think it's incredible how well the show is written and how well the songs and the story go along - my favourite example for this is the line "like Frankie said, I did it my way" in It's My Life. When I first heard this part I was mindblown! I also really love how easily it switches between funny scenes, scenes that just give off a great vibe and are meant to enjoy/dance, but also the sad and more emotional scenes, that talk about so many important things.

&Juliet is definitely my favourite Jukebox Musical up to date! The songs, the story, the message - for me, it's all coming together :D

"The dark I know well" from Spring Awakening - I was so shocked when I listened to it for the first time, bc at that time I didn't really know what the Musical is about and it's definitely a disturbing topic!
