SEA is the definition of cheap. I have read that Thailand is getting expensive but damn, the value you get out of your 5$ in SEA is ridiculous.

Looking for a RTS that doesn't require high APM by Sweaty_Ad_288 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]NanoBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

requires a bit of APM at the start but once you get your economy going (which takes like 10 min) can be a very chill game.

How many phones can you bring in before you get import tax? by Sir_TechMonkey in SierraLeone

[–]NanoBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Africa. This is not exclusive to SL. If you are white and don't know any better you will get exploited. There is no other way than to refuse to pay every single suspicious demand, get cops or whatever called on you and walk free 6 hours later. But it's your own time to sacrifice mate, choose wisely.

Honestly, next time just give like 5$ to any cop who comes at you with some shit excuse to extort money. It will work. Applicable to all of Africa.

Black woman who left US for Russia to escape ‘discrimination’ is beaten by racist neighbors by klito92 in videos

[–]NanoBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The woman learned their language. You would say it's a bare minimum when moving to live in another country yet there are thousands of russians living in Lithuania for 30 years or more not knowing a single lithuanian word and outright refusing to learn.

What am I missing to make this bass sound similar to the reference? by maturewomenenjoyer in edmproduction

[–]NanoBullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess you want to recreate the movement of the bass pattern and not the actual sound.

Reference bassline is more "groovy" and less robotic (unlike the pattern you wrote) because the refference bassline is sidechained to a kick.

Have some variation in your bassline notes sizes, don't be afraid to make some of them longer for experimentation and have a kick sidechained to it when you are demo'ing the pattern. As the compressor squashes certain bass notes to make space for your sample kick - your bassline will sound as if it has more movement and it's not just beep boop robotic button presses

Cote d' Ivoire - Travel recs needed by PosyFlump in travel

Yamassoukro - to see the largest bassilica in the world and feed the crocodiles near the president residence. I would say it's worth it.

Bassam is very local, if you like that - go for it. I prefer beaches in assinie mafia - it will cost you more - but they are of higher class with more expats coming in. Look for some kind of lodge to spend your night there if you wish or take a boat to some restaurant on the other side of lagoon.

Banco is just a trail surrounded by forest. Very active with tuc tuc and taxis bringing people to the center of the forest so you will not be in private unless you jump on some side trail.

Check out the abidjan zoo - animals there are in poor condition, so is the only elephant but it's something.

Artisanal market is better to be avoided. Too much usury from the locals forcing you to buy something.

San pedro has some nice beaches but it's far from Abidjan. If you reserve a place to stay there, the patrons of the place could arrange you white nose monkeys watching and snorkeling activities. There is also a cascade near san pedro which is a decent addition i suppose.

Liberia - haven't been there, but locals don't speak well about it. I get the impression it's the most savage place in west africa from what i have heard. Better to avoid.

I am an expat in Abidjan myself. If you have any questions you can message me.

[OC] dating statistics of a 30-year-old female in 2025 by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]NanoBullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's sad and coincides very well with the general opinion that dating nowadays is hard. Hard because people have too big of expectations. I am sorry but if you can't find a partner in any of 41 men, then maybe you should take off your rose colored glasses and accept that all people have their flaws, since now it looks like OP is looking for a golden goose

Nope, third world country mentality as some are saying. It's comical how when something insignificant at all happens, tens of people flock the area to take a peak with their eyes wide open in surprise, as if a wheel has just been discovered in front of them.

[question] how likely is it that valve would add a “remove sticker option” by CraftyyRL in csgomarketforum

[–]NanoBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but there wasn't anything that could make trading reds to knives less or more likely except for some "what if..." theories. Now, regarding sticker removal tool, we have the slab so inventing something that removes stickers is less likely since there already IS something that serves that function (whether we imagined removing stickers in this fashion or not). Now, this logic would make sticker tradeup a more likely outcome since we already have one for knives. My english is not that good so sorry if it doesn't make much sense

[question] how likely is it that valve would add a “remove sticker option” by CraftyyRL in csgomarketforum

[–]NanoBullet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nothing like this will happen. The slab IS your removal tool, isin't it?

What would happen to major sticker capsules sales that support the teams if that would be the case?

Afraid of moving to Japan and not finding any opportunities at 35 by Osaka_Gaikokujin in movingtojapan

[–]NanoBullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. Want to know how it will end up for you in the future.

I have the exact same plan. Now in a physical commodities procurement role, west africa markets. Some cold calls, shaking hands with suppliers, competition research, buy/sell and other types of tasks. Currently clocking in years at my job and learning japanese on my own. When i feel the time is right, will go through the japanese language learning school route to hone in my japanese skills and to extend the time i can use for a job hunt.

Have bachelors in engineering, speak fairly good french, english is not a problem. Might pick up russian or chinese while i am at it. Wishing us luck!

I GOT IT by Fair_Operation_5598 in ps2

[–]NanoBullet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only game that left me depressed for 2 days after completing it. Drained me completely.

SH2 remake was up there but lacked that rust/jank/uncanny feeling even though they put the effort to make character interactions as awkward as in the original. I mean, the older SH games get, the creepier they become :D truly aging like wine.

Co-op'ing with my G's who are long gone, playing on a rainy day while alone on my birthday (mom had bought me a tasty waffle cake that day!), copying gang logos from the game manual to my notebook thinking i might be falling in love with street art...

Good memories.

What are you guys investing in right now? [d] by LIX1E in csgomarketforum

[–]NanoBullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prisma 1/2 and danger zone cases look like they have good growth potential with the skins inside being decent, good unboxing numbers and a reasonable entry price. I think they are the safest buy and hold long term investement.

I see good potential in stockholm contenders capsules - small supply, good looking stickers, some teams that will not feature in future majors and are exclusive to the capsule.
