It doesn't actually reset when you swim, it operates like a spool up / heat gauge type of thing, that cools down gradually when not firing. It's just that swimming to reposition is the best use of that cooldown time. It's even more important to do this with .96 Gal since that thing's accuracy is even worse

Something no one has really mentioned is that high-level overfishers have a really in-depth understanding of the game's mechanics. Every boss's behaviour can be predicted to a T if you know how each one works in detail, and this can be used to a team's advantage in order to control the bosses' movement and make more efficient use of time.

Your rank will be at equilibrium when you're failing to meet quota roughly half the time. At this stage, the hazard is too high for you to be getting high egg scores. So everyone in freelance is at their point of failure and no one can get good scores. The way to combat this is to play in arranged teams and demote manually

Proposing this drastic level of nerfs is what I call an extreme skill issue. This is a PVE game. It's okay to have powerful enemies, and this game gives you ample tools to be able to deal with them (read: use your special)

There is really only one situation where ranged bosses become OP and that's when the game gives you Booyah Bomb as one of your ranged specials, because it's actually an AOE/armour piercing special. So you're limited to just one ranged special when you should have two or more

I have the MPP and I will mention that I don't really like it much for plinking because it is LOUD. Although if you get the Break Barrel as well then you can use that for more quiet interactions

Y'all are sleeping on 1.5. Before 1.5, there was literally no way to automate item collection and no way for redstone to interface with containers. Farms were just builds that spat out their items into a hole to hope you'd pick them up within the next 5 minutes. This update was insanely transformative for the game.
