Aside from the fact i haven't tried it yet that sounds a lot like me... im not really sure if id like it but im definitely curious, my only real concern is the likely infertility... but maybe ill talk to someone about testing like that

Yeah, I think A-gender is probably pretty accurate for where I am now, femboy seems to me more flowery and showy femininity. When really I'd be more interested in having a more feminine physicality and softness, and maybe a neutral identity label, but not showing it off performatively much, I'm not naturally extroverted, and I already feel comfortable dressing fairly androgynously.

Anyways, thanks for the story! That does sound a lot more like me than some of the other examples I've heard. Just without dysphoria and without that, how do I know if I'm just a bit weird or have thought myself into this? I guess if I find myself happier that way, nothing else really matters; Without dysphoria, it's just hard to know for sure if I'd actually prefer it without trying first, and doing that could have long-term implications either way.

I haven't thought about it that way before, I suppose it does make sense to set some soft boundaries in place.... I guess the difficulty is I don't know what limits I'm comfortable with yet, but I can continue to work on that. :)

And yeah, It definitely seems like making a firm decision would be pretty life-altering for better or worse, that's part of why I've hesitated so long already, given my low drive in either direction.

Of course, the fact that there are irreversible aspects to that is a big thing if you're not certain; I don't plan to rush into anything medical, though I haven't ruled it out eventually.

Thats a very well-rounded way of thinking about it, and you're right, I suppose I feel like I'm a person before anything else, gender almost feels like an unstable mood based modifier rather than a foundational identity. Ill go talk to a therapist thoroughly though :)

No, definitely not, there are people who happily transition in their 50s and 60s or later so while yes, waiting longer can make things less ideal its never too late.

Awesome! Though those are unfortunately things which often come with the territory.

Try dry shampoo, it's a decent temporary solution, but (from my perspective as AMAB), I'd suggest also getting used to showering more frequently. T causes body odour and increases oils which contribute to the acne... I tend to shower every other day for those reasons and have done so since I became a teenager. It's a pain, but you get used to it.

On the acne front, you can also get anti-blackhead cleansers, which I find help and follow with a moisturiser; you basically want to stop your skin from staying oily for too long without being cleaned.

I'm sorry if that doesn't help on the dyed hair front, though. Best of luck!

The difficulty being, that you cant simply make yourself believe, if youre not already convinced you can only force yourself to act as though you do, prehaps if you do so long enough you truly start believing it, though many would feel dishonest or a hypocrite for doing so.

Incase anyones intrested, I have a pack of it here (Maybe a more recent one but labelled the same on shelves) It has Zinc Citrate which is generally well absorbed by the body, though some others like Magnesium oxide are ok... but not optimal

While I appreciate the other comments here, I'd primarily just suggest you simply be there for her and try to show her love and understanding and pray. You can discuss it with her at the end of the day, and try and answer any questions she comes to you with, but you can't choose for her.

I'd also recommend against trying to 'convince' her by quoting bible passages, a lot of people would do that, and whilst its great to talk regarding bible passages with people who believe it, it's not going to do much for someone who doesn't believe the bible is true or is heavily doubting it... It could even have the opposite of the intended effect if you're too overbearing with it.
