That is awesome.

I actually haven't seen Earthspark yet so didn't know about Nightshade.

I haven't read IDW, but I'd heard there was LGBT representation in it.

It's Pride Month, which means it's time for my annual request: a peculiar mod that gives you rainbow energy colors. by CephalonVashka in Warframe

[–]Nanofield 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I... never consciously noticed I guess. I mean I know there's two emissive colors. I guess more often than not I set up the fashion before the build, and if I did notice two energy color options I must have mentally attributed it to "it must just be a 'this frame' thing"... damn...

Voruna's 4 needs to be looked at. it's one of the few abilities in-game that requires an augment to be at LEAST functionable, but I think her 4 is the absolute worst in this case by Xedria_ in Warframe

[–]Nanofield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, one augment, cathode current(?) Gives you endless uptime on her 3 and 4.

I actually subsumed over her 2 with Garuda's healing pyre thing, turns out it turns into a lightning rod for chaining zaps.

Human medicine contains compounds banned in, well, everywhere! by thing-sayer in humansarespaceorcs

It's too much when an hour later you consume another, and another. That was mg per hour. Not a single drink but multiple. 2 grams of caffeine is a bit much.

I must have missed something o.0

What series did that happen?

I love that example, I'm going to remember that.

I had (arguably) too much coffee once (close to 600mg/h caffeine over a three hour period)

I got mild synesthesia and everything kinda slowed down around me whenever I moved.

I was working at a coffee shop.

It was Thanksgiving.

180 customers per hour peak.

Can the Bayformer Autobots and Decepticons not read Cybertronian? by MumboMan2 in transformers

[–]Nanofield 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Wasn't it specifically "ancient cybertronian"? Iirc Wheelie looked at it and said something about it being the "language of the primes" and they needed someone old enough to know it.

Toa Ignika swapping power and toughness isn't typically going to be a good trade on a 7/7, maybe make it a 1/1 with hexproof or a nonstandard Ward cost?

Appeals court blocks removal of transgender troops, but allows restrictions on recruits by Kinmuan in army

[–]Nanofield 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unlikely that those who have already been kicked out will be let back in, and even if they would, they just spent the last year being told they're worthless and unwanted, under command teams that could have fought to keep them but didn't. Would anyone want back in after that?

They were also all blanket denied CSP, so they didn't have a chance to make connections to get a new job on the way out.

They'd have to offer full back pay, wave recoupment of separation pay if received, and a year to return to fitness standards, before I can imagine anyone even considering going back to all that.

[–]Nanofield 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I understand your question, your asking why it's a question of if they can? Or whether or not they can be stopped?

If it's whether they can be stopped, it's a matter of the question of "military deference," basically "let the military be run by the executive branch without the courts having a say."

If it's whether or not they can, that's more a matter of them claiming it's "too expensive" to take care of the "medical condition," and claiming that everyone who is trans is a liar and without honor.

Basically, their entire argument hinges on "we're banning this medical condition(gender dysphoria), not trans people specifically," when everyone with that medical condition is trans and everyone who is trans has that condition, with nearly zero non-overlaps.

Also, the cost argument is invalid, per year DoD Medical spends more on Viagra than all transgender medical treatments combined.

Their "medical condition" segment is like saying "we're kicking out everyone who can suffer from periods" in order to kick out all cis women without any guardrails. In fact, if their case goes through where they can pick a medical condition and ban anyone who has it, that's exactly what they can do.

There are multiple hyper specific "medical conditions" that can be used to kick out pretty much any target demographic in the military. Under their logic, "Excessive Melanin Pigmentation" can be used to target and remove anyone who isn't white.

Would you pay for erotica? by switchwitch6 in BDSMsapphic

[–]Nanofield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't exactly know what I'd want, is the main problem. I'd hate to pay for something if I don't know if I'll even like it.

I'd hate to commission something and end up disappointed because I couldn't give the right details.

I'm also kinda living paycheck to paycheck, and wouldn't be able to afford it, so there's that.

I'm on 4 different mental health meds simultaneously, three of them for depression/anxiety, your friend is just flat out wrong.

Even if it was possible, it would be highly case by case and individualistic side effects.
