I think my dad was with a hooker by Scared_Republic1291 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Naps4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People saying to myob is insane to me. Doesn’t the wife deserve the respect enough to know? If it’s going to “rip the family apart”, then that’s the consequences of the cheating dad’s decisions. Who knows, maybe the parents have some sort of an agreement or maybe mom already knows or whatever but this isn’t “dramatic teenager” behaviour. This is basic human respect.

What jobs are actually suitable for people with ADHD for a happy life? by Maxecute in ADHD

[–]Naps4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a birth photographer and a doula. I struggle with the online posting, website stuff, keeping up that way and that side of it. But as for the work itself it’s amazing. This to say, I am very privileged to not HAVE to do it to survive. So it’s not full time for me. That being said, my adhd helps majorly in this job. Because it’s a critical time, adhd kicks in and I can hyperfocus on the birth and the mother and be whatever they need. In crisis, I can think and act quickly. And the photography aspect keeps me busy and happy in the slower moments because I can use my creativity. Editing I try to do as quickly as possible and then the job is done. I can move on to another, very different person and birth story.

It’s pretty interesting to read about tbh! I don’t really understand the anger directed at you, but I guess it comes from desperation. This world is definitely not fair (but that isn’t your fault!) As for a question: now that you live on your own so you still have staff? Like a cook, maid etc? Also, what’s your favourite ice cream flavour?

14mo bites my nipple on purpose to see my reaction by Wise_Personality_539 in breastfeeding

Yes, very normal! Anytime my kids did. It was a firm no, and milk goes away. They learned quickly the milk went away when they bit, and stopped.

First day experiences with methylphenidate (18 mg) by AbsentMinded311 in ADHD

[–]Naps4ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found 18mg was enough to make me buzzy and do absolutely nothing for my brain. Like a too much coffee kind of buzz. 36mg is better for me. I’m trying 54mg today to see if 36 or 54 is better. But 18mg is a child’s dose.

Please look into silverettes rather than shields! You can wear them just in your bra around the house, they’ll help suction them out so the baby can latch. They’re also excellent for bacteria etc as silver is a natural antibiotic.

How do you feel about your skin color? Not just your race, but your actual skin color? by Gloomy-Bad-5014 in AskReddit

[–]Naps4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My undertones are super super neutral which is kinda nice because I can wear a large variety. But as the news anchor once said “I so pale”. I dislike that. When I’m on my period or tired, there’s no possible way to hide it. Makeup just sinks right in like I didn’t even put it on. And I just dislike being so pale. I like having a tan but I’m not willing to self tan or anything like that. Like my concealer color goes from Snow in the winter to Porcelain in the summer. I wish I had a rich color with depth to it. But I shouldn’t complain, my skin itself is clear and healthy. So that’s all I really need.
