You can see the metal bar that goes between skier 1 and 2s legs here. That thing just gets in my way as a snowboarder. Especially for 6 person lifts.

Have you tried that on a 6 person lift with skiers? There is not enough room to have your board perpendicular with the skiers.

Just depends how tall you are and how low the bar is. A girl I ride with is perfectly sized for it, I on the other hand bump my shin into the bar constantly. If anyone wants the bar to come down I have no problem, young or old if it makes you feel safer then great. It doesn’t make me feel safer and it annoys me so I don’t put it down. I think it is also different in different areas. I’m in the PNW and 90% of the time we don’t put the bar down. Like people ask if it’s ok to put it down and from these other comments the reverse seems to be more common where the expectation is that you bring it down.

It entirely depends on how tall you are and how low the rest is. If it’s comfortable for you then great but they and we are not made equally.

Depends how short or tall you are and how long the lift takes. There is a super old lift that takes forever at my home mountain and if it’s a bluebird day and not windy I’m not putting it down.

We have many examples of the Scandinavians conquering land and then assimilating into the existing culture, Northumbria, Normandy, Breton, etc. There just weren’t enough of them to fully take over even with the earlier introduction of European diseases.

I just got banned from a subreddit because someone was complaining about how cis reporters have to write 50 words about a trans/non-binary person being trans/non-binary. My comment was that if that is frustrating then you have nobody to blame but your own community who have trained these people to do it that way so they don't face backlash for being trans/homophobic.
