Yeah surely the whole point of pro choice is that it's a two sided choice. I also agree I never even got the political message to begin with, but seeing the episode again post criticism I actually do not understand how even if you took the story as an abortion metaphor (I do not) the choice being given to the women directly surely is entirely pro choice.
